We are looking for a school in King George VA that has a good Autistic program for our 11 year old son. Does anyone have any ideas? We are relocating to the area soon and haven't found too much information and the School District isn't saying too much either. Thank you.

My family and I are relocating to King George, VA and I see in some of your posts that you went to a salon, there and I also read that you have an Autistic daughter. We have an Autistic son and we are trying to find a good school there for him to attend. Do you have any suggestions as to which of the elementary schools is the best for a 6th grader? Thank you

Hello this is Angela's husband. One other thing I wanted to mention that my wife didn't know until I pointed it out to her was how the receipts are done. Any other place I have gone to that you would leave a tip, they hand you 2 receipts and you write the tip on one and sign it and keep the other. Then they put the tip in after. The problem with that is you have to trust them to put in the right tip and not rip you off. (Not that I have been ripped off in the past. It just doesn't seem like good business practice to leave that doubt in the customer's mind.) At Simply Bliss however, she handed me one receipt. I wrote in the tip and signed it and handed it back. She then put it in including the tip and handed me back a receipt with the tip and total PRINTED on the receipt. This to me is good business practice and removes any trust issues.

Angela: This information is very interesting.

Thank you for taking the time to put this post together. I'm sure it is a great help to others, faced with this challenge.

Having lived under the spectrum of bi-polar--on the high-functioning end of that continuum--I can truly appreciate how difficult it must be to understand others, who don't communicate or express themselves within what is generally considered the "Norm."

Autism, like mental illness, is still way too stigmatized, which makes it hard on both those who suffer, and those close to them, who would do anything to help, but feel helpless when faced with symptoms and the accompanying behaviors.

Hopefully, as more and more people diagnosed with neuro-bio conditions share stories, and reveal how to get from "here to there", it will help stimulate more discussion about how to cope with what can some times overwhelm.

Thank you for being such a great mom and care-taker, and then, taking time to do out-reach for others.

Great work!

Keep taking care of you, too! Kelly
