    I will say this that my Dr. that did the surgery was great. He and his staff was really nice & caring. My sugar dropped big time after everything was done so he was nice enough to give me some sugar under my tongue. I was only able to eat a yogurt before hand & that was 5 hrs before the operation so it took longer ... ]]>

    This is just a fast update, as I do feel pretty rough & sore still.. I had 4 teeth removed they was in real bad shape Super SOFT & impacted a bit, so what was to be a 1.5 hr thing became a 3 hr thing I’m very puffy a little bruised & just over all a  bit Yucky feeling. I hope to be feeling better soon… as soon as I feel good I get to set up a time to have some teeth filled.

    I will say this that my Dr. that did the surgery was great. He and his staff was really nice & caring.     It has been a busy week, Plus I haven’t felt real well. I have dental surgery coming up on July 2nd at 1:30 So this past week we have done some remodeling to the house all the while I can feel my heart beat in my head & jaw OUCH antibiotics don’t seem to help nor does pain meds, so I’ll be happy to get to the dentist soon.  I also got my bread machine & pasta machine so I been living in the kitchen

    I also been looking for good GFCF flour for pasta making I finally found some I’m going to order and give it a shot I’ll post about that more in depth once I get the flour & make the pasta I’ll post some pictures of the process heck I might even do a video who knows. But the place I’m ordering from seems to be very great with answering question’s Most places I asked about flour to be able to make pasta with almost laughed in my face (That isn’t advised with how I feel & my temperament in general LOL)  but this place answered my questions I sent via email very fast & in great detail so that is a 2 thumbs up right off the bat.

    So after my surgery and me getting my flour ordered I hope to blog soon, who knows I might feel 100% after the operation I have bounced back fast before after having 2 upper wisdom teeth removed this time it is the bottom ones & a couple molars so who knows I never have had any removed on my lower teeth so it might knock me in the dirt. LOL

    Well I’m off for a few days… I haven’t had much to blog
    about & even if I did I haven’t really felt like bogging much with
    all that is going on with the house & new diet & my head & tooth ache… well that is

    ago & transferred our service..  Well the first 6 mo the bill came
    to us like it should. They pick up here Wed. & Sat each week, we
    don't produce that much trash so many times our can was not taken out
    to the road (Because it was empty!)
    
    OK So each time our can is
    not out at the road I would get an automated call informing me my trash
    was not set out. (This was very nerve racking)  Also at the time of
    those calls My bill stopped coming in the mail.

    to call & find out what I owed as it never seemed to stay ... ]]>

    & inform them I’m not receiving my bills in the mail. They say they
    have the problem licked! OK

    So after about 6 or 7 mo. I have
    lost count of me not getting my bill & for that reason I haven’t
    payed it for that long They finally pick up my trash can. LOL

    Oh yeah and after I kept setting an empty can out to be emptied they stopped calling too.

    So Now do I bitch about not getting a bill for 7 mo after doing so for 2.5 yrs or do I find new service?

    And
    yes I will pay by bill in full with them I was just wondering how long
    they would pick up my trash with out me paying the bill they never
    sent! LMAO

    The cost of going GF/CF has been a hard one so I have been reading
    & searching for the best products v/s cost and this bit of stuff
    was 146. and some change I’m just wondering how long the flour will
    last. I have a deep freeze to store it in I’m excited to see how many
    meals I can make with it. I have also gotten a recipe for home made
    chicken nuggets LOL My girls favorite thing. other than pasta.

    But We put a wall back up that the old home owners took down they had tried to make the living room bigger but that just was not working for us at all it was very long & narrow & half of the room was not usable at all.... So we turned it back into a bedroom as it was originally intended to be.
    
     It has taken a bit longer to do than we had planned due to heat & humid weather for a few days it was 100% humidity it is hard to get anything to turn out in that rather it be making candy or drywall.  But this weekend it should be painted and finished WOOHOO!!

     I had to order a twin window fan as we have no central heat or cooling so we did leave 10 inches at the top of the wall open so heat & cool air can flow to the back rooms (Another 4,000.00 dollars from now we should have central heating & cooling in) 

    We also got the pool pump/filter fixed & refilled so that is ready to go this weekend.

     My oldest will be going boating out on the Potomac Sat. morning  I hope the weather stays clear if not O’Boy  it will be a living nightmare. She is very much so looking forward to this, then that evening we have a birthday party  and cook out to go to.

     These next two  to four weeks will be busy one
    The 25th well that is my 7 yr wedding anniversary No events after that until the 2nd of July I have dental surgery that day I’m so dreading it!!! I’ll have a 2.5 hr trip one way to get the work done. I’d rather be put in a group of people & be beat then have major work done on my teeth.  I just hope I feel 1/2 & 1/2 by the 4th we always go on Base on the 4th & have a blast I just hope I feel up to it & I don’t look like I got into a bar fight.

    Well that sums up the next few of weeks. I just hope I have smooth sailing!!!

      I don’t know what esp is but all I know is that I am suffering from happenings like,,burning from fire, storm of spins ,light strike, shock by thunder, gun shot , knife stave , bombing in other county ,
      smell,test of every orders, and back of my eye led there some movie playing, or stories to tell ,and knowing if person is telling the truth . I can go on and on, but I just need to stop the all these matters , I don’t even feel like human . Is there any cure for that ? I want no apart of ESP.

    I got up at 6:55 am to get everyone up for school & work. I was to sleepy to even put on a pot of coffee! My eyes felt like they were on fire or had been poked a good one. I think today is going to be a very, very long day.

I would like to see parents, friends, other teachers, students... well everyone step up & STOP this kind of behavior before it is permitted to even start. I see many schools & even the Federal Government is working toward a anti-bullying law. The sooner it gets into place the better.
    
    I'll tell a little bit about what has me so mad, and setting here in disbelief that a teach could behave this way, I'm not sure what if anything will be done with this teacher but truthfully I think she needs to be in the unemployment line.

        I came across this new article late last night and I will say I am very disappointed in the way this child was treated!! I would like to see parents, friends, other teachers, students… well everyone step up & STOP this kind of behavior before it is permitted to even start. I see many schools & even the Federal Government is working toward a anti-bullying law. The sooner it gets into place the better.

        I’ll tell a little bit about what has me so mad, and setting here in disbelief that a teacher could behave this way, I’m not sure what if anything will be done with this teacher but truthfully I think she needs to be in the unemployment line.

        A teacher of a 5 yr old boy who may have autism (Autism affects your social abilities) sent him to the principals office for disciplinary issues. Then while the child was in the office the teacher got the idea to allow his classmate to vote him in or out of the classroom, When he returned to his class he got a surprise he was made to stand in-front of the class while each classmate by the teachers approval got to tell this child why they don’t like him, 14/2 had voted him out!! The students said he was “disgusting” and “annoying,”!!

        I find this kind of behavior to be disturbing a teacher teaching more than school studies she has taken it into her own hands to teach children to be bully’s!!

        She has taken it into her own hands to break the spirit of a 5 yr old child (special needs aside) child!  This child is now fearful of going to school she has broken his spirit & take away the value of his education.

        I will be keeping an eye on this story to see what action’s are taken towards this teacher if any.

        I for one think she needs to write this child an apology I think she needs to do this in her classroom with the other students doing the same, she needs to teach her students that what she did was wrong & it was a bullying behavior!!!  I also think she owes each of her students an apology for making them vote out a fellow classmate & having them state what it is they don’t like about him.

        She really needs to right her wrong as much as she can, the emotional scars she placed on this child will not be taken away by her saying sorry those, he will likely carry for a life time but saying sorry is a good way to start healing those emotional scars.

        So In closing this post I’ll define Bully, I’ll also link to the Article I read & I’ll post a link to some Anti-Bullying info…

    Well I stepped outside for a little bit last night while my husband was playing with my youngest & my oldest was sleeping…

I spit the coffee in the sink & continue to gag for a few minutes, at this time a picture of the God Warrior pop’s my my head, if you have ever seen her on the reality shows when she thinks she smells something bad. LOL she too goes on a gagging frenzy!…    I was cracking up about it all, it was so funny.  I walk into the living room and ask my daughter if she had set her hair holder in my coffee She say yes but it was an accident!! All wide eyed & smiling (she does that if she is unsure or nervous)  I busted up laughing and said That’s OK. She said I told daddy I did…. ( Still wide eyed & Smiling)

    See she can speak very well but has trouble explaining something, or getting the words in an order so they can be understood. Like if she wants a drink of water she’ll say “Can you water me some fresh water in my blue water bottle so I can maybe drink it?”

      If she has done something she should not have or broke something she will just say sorry over & over and not explain what she is sorry about. ( She doesn’t get in-trouble for boo’boo’s as we call them) But is she does something to upset herself or that she think someone will disapprove of It is very very hard to under stand her.

    My Husband said she kept saying sorry & then would say coffee cup hair piece…

    But he had no clue what she was saying? (He tells me this after I gag my but off of course) LOL

    She also likes to play with words and makes up new words so it is hard to understand when she is saying something for a reason or for the sake of saying it, & getting a laugh out of folks.

    You almost have to become a code talker to get what is going on around here. LOL

    & I’m Surely Not a Medicine Man or Medical Dr.

    I’m proud of who I am I just can’t stand some of the stereotypes that come along with being Native American.  You can only educate so many before you get burnt out. LOL  I reached that point last week & felt like blogging about it I hope I don’t offend anyone by this post.

    a positive was the woods lamp test… it showed a slight overproduction
    of melanomin…. we decided not to put Sam through the test but to try
    to approach our predicament from a different angel.

     

     Andie
    was placed in a mainstream nursery that had 2 special needs teachers
    and they also gave him a 1 to 1 aide… Sam stayed on at the children’s
    centre that helped diagnose her.

    because he had not had the right
    intervention before he was 3 the prognosis was not good… we were told
    to consider sign language for both especially Sam as she would most
    likely be non verbal and that Andie was as near to a non verbal outside
    of his echolalia there was no communication.  Andie was being moved
    onto a language unit at the local school so we applied for a place in
    the nursery that Andie was at and when Andie left Sam started and again
    were given a 1 to 1 assistant for Sam.

     

    I refused to
    believe that my children would never communicate and decided to become
    more positive and hands on with their language development. I was
    enrolled on a course for Hanen by a speech therapist at the language
    unit… even though Andie was too old for me to qualify Sam wasn’t and
    Marion thought he would still benefit from me using it for both
    children.

     

    Withing 6 weeks of using what I was learning
    Sam started singing.  by the time she was 4 she would use single words
    to communicate. as she progressed we saw her overtake her brother with
    language skills and though he was falling behind he still made some
    progress….

     

    2 years later they were both placed in
    special needs schools with educational criteria and both able to
    communicate minimally but enough for them to be deemed verbal. 

     

    Sam
    now can use simple small sentences and Andie follows her lead… we
    once told someone how our children at times are like twins born 2 years
    apart. we know they don’t need to speak to each other to communicate
    but they know mum and dad don’t have that skill and they are more than
    willing to let us know if they like something or not.

      

    Music
    was the thing that gave them the words and the confidence to use them,
    it helped them progress from nursery rhymes to Disney sing along to
    being able to do things we never dreamt of.

    Yes they are still
    severely autistic and challenged in their lives, anyone who has ever
    tried to talk to them know they are still very limited… but we have
    hope and they keep showing us they have the ability to progress even
    slowly it is still progression.

     

    Thanks to our children we
    live with Autism everyday… It has been said we are very up about it..
    we don’t want people feeling sorry for us. to us this is our life and
    we just get on with it as any parent of any child does.”

I’m not ready to say good bye to her, Today seems like a hellish nightmare that I want to wake up from but can’t seem to.

    I haven’t let myself break down and cry because I’m afraid I won’t be able to stop.

    well I guess that is all I have to say about today for now though there is so much more to tell, it’ll have to wait for a while.

    Good Heavens we just got finished installing 4 over head lights!! We started on them right after I posted this post Spring has Sprung So around 13 hrs of work. Now I have a couple floor lamps to throw into the give away pile. I still have a pile of clothes & kids shoes to sort through (I’m still trying to figure out well all this stuff came from)

    I have to completely drain it because last yr we had to many things to do and parts to replace on the pump that I threw a HUGE Cursing fit & threw my hands up  and said the hell with it. After getting the pump fixed we have gotten it drained it needs some elbow grease, water & a load of chemicals & boom I can have a little fun in the sun this year (I hope)  Because if one more things fails on that sucker I’ll earn a bit of drinking money after I cash it in for scrap metal. LOL

    Well I’m going to stop blabbering & go get me a midnight snack catch a movie and maybe get some shut eye.

    Tomorrow brings another day were I will be hip deep in house work (Try saying that 3 times real fast!)

    WHOOHOO!!  Now that means I have to get off my bum & spring clean Oh well I guess someone has to do it. Today I’m getting rid of clothes we no longer need or have out grown & bedding, dishes, curtains, toys, DVD players VCR’s VHS tapes. Put it this way if it isn’t nailed down it may not be in the house after today LMAO I’m going with the mato this year that Less is More!!!

    I’ll also try to get a part time job this summer. I really need a break from being a stay at home mom I swear I love my family but one can lose sight of ones self real fast when your life is about everyone else & not you. So I hope to get a job this spring and summer. even if it is just 2 days a week it will be something other than MOMMY mode 24/7. LOL

    Well I’m adding this post to help raise awareness about autism. I’ll be adding to it as the replies come in to a few questions I have asked mom’s who have children on the spectrum. I’ll also be adding blog links that are given to me from the mom’s that wish to share their blog I’ll place the links in this post and in my side menu.

    I asked these questions at a group I belong to called Autism/Asperger’s/PDD Awareness

    I also wanted to ask moms a hard question or two or three

    I would like for you all to sum question 1 & 2 up in 3 words, or less And with your permission I would like to add this to my blog as well.

    Question #1  What was your life like before autism?

    (My answer: Couldn’t say)

    Question #2 What is your life like after autism?

    (My answer: Brighter, New, Inquisitive)

    Who or what has helped you the most in walking the road of autism?

    (My answer: Well the group I listed above would be #1 being able to freely ask questions there knowing someone there most likely has faced what I am or about to!
    Youtube has been a great help I blogged about the help I got there and many links of video’s that let me see first hand what was what in the ASD world it opened my eyes and taught me I’m HFA as well.  It has also helped me see that it will be hard for me to seek a diagnosis and help as an adult, Most of all I see I’m not alone nor is my daughter alone in the world of autism…  Here is the blog post about that 2 More Days

      The most important help I have gotten has been from family and friends just them knowing and still loving us and caring helps, as for informative help The Cafemom group above & Youtube.)

    Question #4 What might you say to someone getting ready to walk this road to make their trip a little easier?

    (My answer: You are not alone!! It isn’t a real easy road but it isn’t the worst ever either!  Do your home work on new treatments, therapies, diets, and rights. Many are willing to turn a blind eye and not offer help. So look into the laws for helping people on the spectrum (This will come in handy when your little-one is school age)

    If you think your child is autistic and you talk to your Dr. about your concerns only to have them blow you off seek help with a developmental pediatrician, & find a new Dr.
     Help can be found at your local school & health department. If your child is on the spectrum they have rights to receive help in areas to help them grow and learn, It will be your job to fight for those rights for your child! There are advocates out there to help you with your battles, seek them out & ask for help.

    Self educating myself in the world of autism has saved me lots of heart ache. Not many people in the system medical or school held out a helping hand so Be prepared to know what to ask for, why to ask for it, and when. That help & info can be learned at the Autism/Asperger’s/PDD Awareness group and many other sites offer info & help. Seek local support groups Oh yeah and take a deep breath and repeat after me ALL WILL BE OK!! Exhale and relax… because it will be OK!)

    Before autism:  “predictable, stable, mundane”

    After autism:  “humbling, harder, richer”

    Who/what has helped the most?  God.  I rely on my faith and truly believe that He has a plan and knows better than I do what is best for Nathan and for me.  Having Nathan has caused me to have a grateful heart and to learn to hand over the things that overwhelm me.

    To someone about to travel this road:  Be forgiving of yourself and your child.  Trust your instincts.  Fight for the services/therapies you believe are needed.  Rejoice in all the little accomplishments.  Carve some time out for yourself.  Enlist the help of family/friends when you can.  Learn to be patient and persist, persist, persist…

    Question #2 What is your life like after autism? It is interesting to say the least. I have meltdowns, I lose my speech, I sometimes am unable to communicate what is in my head. But it has helped me, along with raise my two little sisters who have it too, to anticipate my son’s actions.

    Who or what has helped you the most in walking the road of autism? Music! No one helped me through it. I had no therapy, no meds, nothing! But music was my outlet. It calms me down. I get absorbed into it. Video games help too, violent ones. I get absorbed into killing the enemy, right now it is Call of Duty 4 and Bioshock.

    What might you say to someone getting ready to walk this road to make their trip a little easier? It is not the end of the world. Your kid is still your kid but just requires some more work. Don’t act like it is the end and don’t treat your children differently. A lot of parents treat their children special like they are extra fragile because they have autism. The most important thing you can do is to help your child adapt to this world instead of sheltering them from it. It is hard but well worth it.

    Both of my sons have been imperative to me “walking the road of autism.”

    My son Adam, diagnosed with moderate/severe autism on June 16, 2004, has shown a strength, a determination, a will, like none I have ever seen before. He, truly, has been an inspiration to me. He helped me to find my place in life. I think it is rare that people find their true, “calling,” in life and I am blessed to have found mine. I know that I was destined to help other families in my situation. I was destined to help raise awareness and to encourage acceptance of others and to help others to see the beauty that is our children. Without Adam I would never have found, “my place,” in this world and for that I am eternally grateful to him. What a gift he has given me.

    My son Noah, neurotypical albeit strong-willed like you wouldn’t believe, has also made this, “road,” not only bearable to travel, but, a joy to travel. My son, Noah, finds nothing different or strange about his brother. He loves his brother for who he is; for his flapping because that is a fun game to play, for his hyperactivity because what little boys don’t want to run like wild children through the house, for his need f
    or sameness because all children like structure whether they’ll admit it or not, for all of his unique ways. Noah is blessed to not know what it is to judge another person. He will blessed with knowing what it is like when people are cruel just for the sake of being cruel and that, in the end, will make him a more compassionate man. Noah exudes acceptance and tolerance; what all of us should strive to be.

    My children have made this, “road,” a memorable one to travel. I am, equally, blessed to have both of my children for each one offers something so unique to this world and I know that together they will help to make others more compassionate, less-judgemental, more accepting people and for that I am so grateful and I wouldn’t get off of this path if I could.

    My son’s EI ABA Therapist was the most helpful, she would always answer any question she could for me. She would come to my home no matter what time of day or night it was to help me. She researched so much for me, and continuously brought me resources. She became family!

    Do not feel guilty, do not feel scared, and do not feel alone. Remember that there are many people walking the same path as you are and we are a community of love and support.     liking, interest and passion — not keeping up with the Joneses.

    6. People with Autism Have Terrific Memories

    How
    often do typical people forget directions, or fail to take note of
    colors, names, and other details? People on the autism spectrum are
    often much more tuned in to details. They may have a much better memory
    than their typical peers for all kind of critical details.

    7. Autistic People Are Less Materialistic

    Of
    course, this is not universally true — but in general, people with
    autism are far less concerned with outward appearance than their
    typical peers. As a result, they worry less about brand names,
    hairstyles and other expensive but unimportant externals than most
    people do.

    8. Autistic People Play Fewer Head Games

    Who
    was that woman, and why were you looking at her? I know I TOLD you I
    didn’t mind if you went out, but why did you believe me? Most autistic
    people don’t play games like these — and they assume that you won’t
    either. It’s a refreshing and wonderful change from the Peyton Place
    emotional roller coaster that mars too many typical relationships!

    9. Autistic People Have Fewer Hidden Agendas

    Most
    of the time, if a person on the autism spectrum tells you what he wants
    – he is telling you what he wants. No need to beat around the bush,
    second guess, and hope you’re reading between the lines!

    10. People with Autism Open New Doors for Neurotypicals

    For
    some of us neurotypicals, having an autistic person in our lives has
    had a profound positive impact on our perceptions, beliefs and
    expectations. For me, at least, being the mom of a son on the autism
    spectrum has released me from a lifetime of “should” — and offered me
    a new world of “is.”

    This was taken about 6 yrs ago at a Pow Wow I attended many over our dancers came ill from the heat. It was a very very hot summer

    

    It was reaching in to the 100′s with a heat index of 119 WOW

    Later that week we had this brewing over our house

    It spun a pretty good twister too

    I have had days of having to just leave the store because I could not deal with all the stress myself and come back later to get stuff done. That’s isn’t always an options. So If you can grow some think skin & get mommy tunnel vision. It helps. 

    One other thing if your child melts down  each time you go to the store Take sensory over load as being the main problem, Maybe the Flashing of the lights that NT’s can’t see are making them melt down or the sounds of the store.

    A few things you may want to try are these.
    Get the cheap pale colored kids sun glassed, a hat with a good sized brim (that helps cut back on the flicker of the light causing a sensory over load)  For There ears try ear muffs if they will wear them or head phones and an audio book or music.

    One other thing Give them a little note pad with a copy of the grocery list & ask them to help you check off what we have got in the buggy.  (Keep their mind & hands busy)

    I hope this helps. I know it is hard to get out and about with special needs kids. But it can be done.

    My oldest daughter woke up around 5 am Easter morning with a tummy bug. She had a pretty good fever, head ache, vomiting, the works.  I haven’t felt real good for the past week as there seems to be a couple bugs going around and I have a tooth ache

    The girls got their baskets & treat for Easter but I put a hold on the Easter Dinner as no body really felt like eating & boy was I relieved of that because I sure didn’t feel like cooking. LOL

    I still feel a little Blah I have to try to get into the dentist, I have major work that needs to be done. I just really hate going it create a major sensory over load for me. Plus as a kid I had the worst dentist ever, If you seen the news about the dentist strapping kids down until they pee’d themselves I think the offices worked with low income families. Well I had one like that I really got a fear of them (or did have) It is still hard for me to go & deal with all the sensation’s in my mouth & to set there and wonder if the dentist will over step their bounds. Thank goodness I have found a few good ones in the past after my childhood that helped to ease my worries.

    Today my oldest daughter says she is feeling better. I hope she is & stays feeling better.

    Well I’m going to go put on a pot of coffee (yeah I blogged before getting a cup of coffee LOL) so looks over the ramblings or typos.

    Our first train trip

    This video was taken on Sept. 2007 Shortly before our evaluation for autism.

    She loved the train ride it was a rough one as we had little to no time to get ready for it. We had lots of luggage. And everyone got sick we left VA in 90 deg. weather to NY with freeze warnings. LOL  It was hell transferring from one train to the next too with all the noise of other trains and people she did cover her ears & melt down a little bit but not as bad as I thoughts she would. While on the train itself she was as calm as could be & taking it all in!

    Well I have been spring cleaning and gathering up stuff to put on Freecycle

    Any how I also had my Brother-In-Law here for a few days. He came from Upstate NY heading down south. It was a good visit! The weather threw us a loop the other night the radar showed at least 2 twister on the ground one to the west of us and one to the east, They were maybe 5 miles if that from us. I knew we would be in for it because it was way to warm and humid for March!

    I’ve been working on a couple books I hope to send to the publisher before long. One of them any ways the other well lets just say its far from finished!

    I also got a new digital camera I love that thing it has so many features & functions it has taken me a while to get used to it and I still haven’t mastered it. LOL

    I also got a Magazine subscription from my daughters school one photography. So maybe I’ll have a few picture to share with you all pretty soon!

    many people an apology from the remark you made, not only was it very
    wrong it was RUDE, I don’t care how long you have worked with people of
    special needs it does not in-title you to call them retards ( In saying
    I work with mentally retarded people would be one thing to label
    persons retards or retarded is taken in a slang way as being rude!) I
    have high functioning autism with an IQ in the 120-135 range I’m far from
    being a retard. I have worked with many people some nice some not so
    nice I also work with special needs children I’m not in-titled to call
    the not so nice folks ASSHOLES or the special needs kids Retards.!!  I
    think in-order for you to go on working with children who have
    disorders of any kind would be harmful to them and their families, you
    said something that many find offensive. I think it would do you &

    From this place  Tootsies Stride Rite  She was so happy to hear that I ordered them, Well they came yesterday & when she tried them on her face lit up & she was so happy she said they felt great!! that she couldn’t really feel them on her feet. I think it is good for the girls to learn everything about them that they can ( and care to learn) If they are going to use them it’s sorta like driving a car if you own one you’d best know how to maintain it. (Or that was the way I was raised and it has saved me lots of money)

    Well I best go and get cleaning I’m weeding through stuff and donating it this week ( Lot of stuff my Lord how does one or a family of 4 get so many things)  We are doing a home make over or playing like we are so my youngest doesn’t flip out or have a melt down over the toys going bye bye. She is being a super hero and giving toys to children in need.  The kids have way to many toys I did daycare a long time ago & have to many toys from that.  So once I get the clutter cut & things in a nice neat place I think they will like it.

    Also my youngest is getting her own room soon with a computer area (like my oldest has)  That is the main reason behind the de-clutter. (She doesn’t know that yet)

    Oh yeah My hubby has the flu it never fails we get a long weekend & one of us gets sick. He was pretty bad yesterday fevered yucky feeling & dizzy. if he fevers he gets dizzy?!?

    OK I have set here long enough I best get off my rump and get motivated ( Lord help cause I’d rather sit here) & get some laundry done & sorted and donated. We are giving lots of stuff away from furniture to clothes dished & toys. I just wish the weather was better cause I set everything out in the yard it would be gone in no time flat then, We are going through free cycle to give most of it away & taking it to the local thrift stores to give it away.  Every so often I have free yard sales LOL But it has been way to windy or rainy this month to do that.

    I got my new computer all set up, I had the hardest time with my ATI TV card. I swear It took me forever to get the thing installed the rights way. After reading and looking online I seen that many people have had trouble with one DLL. not working the right way. To fix this is no simple task you pretty much need to go into Regedit to fix it (Not a place just anyone wants to tinker with as it can mess up your system to no end)

    I think for future use I’ll be looking into finding another type of TV card I can say that once you get it working it does great but the task of getting it working can drive a feller to drinking!!

    On the up and up My computer has the Intell Pentium D processor and a kick ass video card I even have heatsinks on my memory. LOL My Husband totally Geeked out my computer!!  It also has an Asus

So I call them today to try & get things straight. With no luck I think they are on drug or something!! They said we hadn't been billed for out internet for over 4 mo. Bull Shit too then our bill jumps from 75.00 a month to up over 110.00 * I'm thinking they got to be ... ]]>

    OK So a rant now about ordering the Dish I wanted the Family plan for 29 bucks and some odd change and 3 boxes.

    The guy keeps trying to force me to pick the Choice package ( That I don’t need nor want or can I afford)  I pointed that out to him many times he kept saying the family package was not available  in our area. I said OK listen I now it is I don’t care if it come with a deal I want to go as cheap as I can go. He kept on I said OK the hell with it I’ll put up an antenna & sign up for netflix Or better yet I’ll throw all my TV’s out the door because either way I don’t give a shit. My kids would like that not to happen so I’ll get the family one or nothing.

    So guess what plan we got…

    The family plan and even with a deal. LOL  I hate it when companies make out like this is the only thing we have and you’ll pay out the a$$ for but Oh well.  They’ll be here tomorrow anytime between 8 am and noon to install it & I get a 50.00 gift card LOL  and a 10 of a month for so any month mail in rebate.

    Our cable company also said they would be raising their prices a couple more times do to all that digital stuff in 09? Not sure what all thats about but I don’t feel like getting shafted because they need to upgrade their crap.

    Well I guess thats my rant for the day WOO much better than paying for therapy!

    Wow, today it’s so nice out!! It has been in the upper 60′s to 70′s today, a light breeze blowing. It feels like spring. I guess it is going to be this way for a couple days or so then we are to get some thunder storm. I’m surprised at the weather we have had this winter. 

    I’ve got every window in the house open, The fresh air smells so good.

    Tomorrow looks to be a bit rainy with a Chance of T-storms 80% chance of precipitation.

It was so small in comparison as well. I could not believe that when you look through it towards light it was like looking right through it. Not so on the massive Solar Comfort filter. Then there is the bulbs. Although the main bulb seems to be a slight improvement over ComfortZone’s real competitors, Edenpure, SunHeat and SunTwin. I am not convinced that there heat area contains any improvement at all. In fact I would place my bet on the others in this case. Yes there were a few pieces of thin copper but definately not anything to boast about, IN MY OPINION. Try changing the bulbs that are suppose to be so easy on the ComfortZone. I am very mechanically inclined as I am a service center and I had a hassle of a time. Trying to line the bulbs back in place always left me wondering if it was in right. In fact, how do you even know which is out. No peep holes or any other indicators. The Solar Comfort is a dream for anyone to work on. I can change lamps in a matter of seriously 2 minutes. 8 screws and as simple as turning lamps. Oh and don’t let ANYONE tell you that Solar Comfort uses old outdated technology. Theirs works and it is proven. They tried the quartz and moved right back. The only thing I could see being a plus for someone needing to move one by picking it up a lot would be that it is lighter. That is it! The Solar Comfort is simpler. It is higher quality, blends in like a piece of furniture and is the original. I did an apples to apples heat test on both the Solar Comfort and the Comfort Zone and the Solar Comfort put out up to 15 degrees more heat and was cool to the touch around the case. When you compare the wood cabinet on each brand it is VERY apparent that the ComfortZone unit is QUALITY BUILT. It is not made from cheap plywood. The best comparison, apples to apples, would be to say that when comparing the quality of the cabinets, the Solar Comfort unit looks like an orange crate and the ComfortZone looks like a piece of fine furniture. I don’t believe Solar Comfort can claim their thermostat is accurate to within 1-2 degrees. In real use, my Solar Comfort is generally 5-10 degrees off. Plastic is known for emitting toxins when heated as well as potentially melting, which I have personally seen on plastic Infrared heaters. Yes it is true, we do not ship the bulbs installed like other companies. However, they are so easy to install that a cave man can do it! We have elderly doing it in a snap! About 3-5 minutes. Here’s the deal, all the other units who ship with the bulbs installed give no certain way of knowing that the bulbs have made the trip successfully. This means you could be running your heater with failed bulbs and not even know it. Ours just screw in where others are wired in. Not so easy! Regarding screws breaking. I have never heard of this. However, I am sure it is possible although they are a quality screw. Solar Comfort comes well packaged in thick styrofoam molds. Issues with shipments are rare! However, any product can get damaged in shipping. Regarding Comfort Zones bulbs. They have a 5 year expectancy which is the same as the others. Most people get between 7 to 15 years depending on the heaters use. Don’t buy into over exaggerated bulb claims. In fact Edenpure and others say 20,000 hrs but then claim 3-5 years. Comfort Zone bulbs are not cheaper either. They are they same price. However, if you need a bulb replacement with ALL the other brands including Comfort Zone you have to go through them because they are proprietary. Ours can be found elsewhere because they are used professionally in farming, the food industry, saunas and more! They also have a 3 year warranty. I do demos daily on Solar Comfort, Edenpure and Comfort Zone (CZ Heater) and the bottom line is that EVERYONE agrees that Solar Comfort is by far simpler, safer and a much, much higher quality. Every professional electrician that we have shown the two side by side prefers Solar Comfort hands down. Regarding the comment of the Solar Comfort looking like a crate. Look again it is the other way around. Solar Comfort is the most like an end table. When Zach states that our income comes from Solar Comfort and you can’t trust us. Well here is the real deal. I can easily sell Edenpure, Iheater, CZ heater (comfort zone) or any other product. I personally choose not too because I do not agree with plastic heaters, the digitals that will fail just like a vcr or dvd player, Solar Comfort has been proven since 1980′s and that it is the simplest. I can not feel confident leaving other brands unattended. After reading Marks post about CZ bankruptcy and seeing all the companies out there that have not been around even a year I would want to put my trust in a product that is proven. Regarding digital features. Everyone knows they don’t last. Consider a VCR or DVD player, stereo, etc. They just do not last long term. For a few years they can be great. I have a customer who has his original Solar Comfort from 1984. You just will not find that with digital heaters. My local competing dealer has had to replace many motherboards already. I also know an elderly gentleman who had his plastic heater melt. Luckily he was home. I have also read multiple other peoples experience with the same issue. Regarding cost more and does less. Well yes it does cost more, but not by much. It also cost more to build. Have you looked at the heat exchanger it has which is the only Infrared heater that has one like a real furnace? It cost more to make! It also cost more to build a Cadillac than a Hyundai. You will not find raw sheet metal throughout the unit. Solar Comfort coats the entire insides in high heat resistant black for the best heat absorption. It also has a powder coated metal case. No plastic! Plastic is much cheaper. Most others who have wood still use plastic fronts. In regards to the wood case, 2/3rds of our customers do not buy the wood case but rather the main powder coated unit. This saves them money and heats better. Only heats up to 800 sq. ft.? That is correct! Unfortunately, just about every other company exaggerates to the poor consumer. They say such things like, ‘heat for pennies a day!’, ‘for the price of a coffee maker’, or ‘heat 1000-1500 sq. ft.’. We are 1500watts 12 amps and all the others are 1500watts 12 amps. They exaggerate based on a reading they had to of received outside of a cold state. Keep in mind we would rather under promise as everyone’s house is different. I am honest and provide realistic expectations. This is fair warning. I know for a fact that the many new heaters popping up on the market are not there for the consumer long term. They will move on to the next big thing. Solar Comfort has proven itself. This is why we back it. I have a CZ heater, I have an Edenpure and Solar Comfort is the only one I would personally trust in my home unattended. Please do not continue to go on an unnecessary attack. Feel free to contact me if you would like but really there is no reason for it. I have been fair and honest. I know all of these products as I have tested them and taken them a part. I purchased an Edenpure heater 2 years ago. The first winter I used it I thought it was wonderful however the following winter I used it and it did not heat like it did the year before. I was only using it to heat one room (my kitchen). It was still under the 1 year warranty so I took it back and told them of my problem. They told me you have to keep the filter clean and there was nothing wrong with the heater. Well, I do keep the filter clean and it just doesn’t heat my kitchen anymore. I will never purchase a heater of this cost again. We switched from a regular phone to Joiphone to save money  with that you need the High Speed Net, still that is cheaper than our regular phone that ran us around $50.00 just for the super basic crap. Joiphone cost me $20.01 a month and has even more features than the regular phone companies Unlimited long distance, you can check your voice mail from you regular home phone or your email & you can forward your calls if you are away from home to another phone, even to your cell, you can also receive faxes ( readable my email only) Despite all our cutting of electrical uses (Dryer, water heater and lights) our kilowatt usage is way way down yet our bill is going up due to the raise of what they charge per kilowatt. Sometimes I feel like I can win for losing. Also my youngest has many food allergies so that has been costing us big time to get the food she needs we have to go a couple towns over the food is more costly too.  We have to pay about 6 time more for co-pays do to more Dr visits and somethings our insurance will not cover at all, Oh we only pay around 6,000.00 a yr for that You’d think it would cover 1/2 what you needed.  Some days I would love to kick all technology aside & be and old hermit that lived in the woods LOL  This next part may explain the name mtmomma a bit. I was born in the mountains of WV I have 2 girls both named after mountains, before I was a mother I did in-fact live in the woods. I made money from the land  and I ate well. It is funny that I felt happier then, than what I do now. I just feel at times that society could suck a feller dry in 2 seconds flat.  We don’t have many extra’s at our house yet we don’t do with out, but to be 100% truthful if the wind blew in the wrong direction on the right day we would be in a world of hurt real fast.  We only pay for House 1 Car Insurance’s (Car, Health, Dental) Power Propane Cable Phone Food We have a well so the water is free minus the power it takes to pump it. All this above we need to put food on the table and for the table & the house the table sits in. LOL But with all we pay out, no savings , all the medical bills on top of us having insurance.  It is a very fine line payday from payday it is tight.  I really want to go back to work but I couldn’t pay for daycare for my Youngest daughter alone much-less both of them.  I just needed to vent because My husband bust his ass to work and give us what we need and yet it seems to be so close to not enough. I know there are many families in this very spot, I just get amazed at the fact it seems companies can charge what ever when ever and it is OK. sometimes I wish thing was more regulated and I think it should be based on the median house hold income, (Or say you live in a city / town that X% of the people make X amount of money you can only charge a X% of that amount for services)  Just finding the fair X% is what would be hard. We will be going to a Lab this week to have the blood drawn for the test Here is a list of test they are doing to start with 1. Quant Immunoglob: IgA, IgG, IgM 2. Endomysial Antibodies/TTG, IgA 3. Gliadin Antibody ( IgA & AgG) In the mean time I can not cut all what we are thinking the problem is or it will show a false Neg. on the test.  So what we have done is cut it until about 2 days before the test then we gave her what she most likely should not have. I’m hoping that is is as simple as just a milk allergy and nothing more. It’s hard when you have a child that is ill and you know their is no fixing it 100% people look at me strange when I say I hope it is just a milk allergy ( Like why would you want her to ave that?) Well it better than the other stuff that could be wrong. After the blood work they may want to do a biopsy of her small intestine to make 100% for sure it isn’t the other 2 conditions I mentioned. I’m scared for my child to be put under she seems so small. My oldest daughter had a blockage at birth and had to have surgery to correct it I will never forget the fear of handing her to the Dr’s She was 2 weeks old and very very sick and weak so it was a very scary time. I’ll just be happy to have all this said and done. I just hope we get answers no matter what they are so we can tailor a plan to keep my youngest healthy. You can also use socks Fill them & sew them shut It can be fun to add a felt type face to the sock so it can be a Boo Boo buddy. I found that my youngest daughter loves them some days heated (In the micro wave a bit maybe a minute) They hold heat well for a good while. & stay cool for a good while. I like them as packs for bumps because heated or cool they deliver a steady heat / coolness & when frozen they aren’t like a hard ice pack they are flexible and nice. You can also add scents to them and they work well for children on the Spectrum sorta like a weight blanket/pillow My youngest daughter ASD tends to be sensory seeking so a cold scented one is what helps sooth her. The one I posted pictures of I made for my husband who suffers from neck & shoulder pain it fits right around his neck and between his shoulder blades. I am one big ball of nerves, I have no clue why as I am OK with how things are, I love her no matter what. I guess just not knowing what to expect and the Dr.’s office, it being 2 hrs away in a major traffic clustered area might be one reason. The thought of my insurance most likely not paying a dime for any testing or treatment is another.  I just heard from a friend that goes to the same place her daughter is on the spectrum they cleared everything  a head of time got approval for all testing and treatment and then got a letter informing her she was now 10,000 dollar in dept thanks to her insurance company deciding it wasn’t going to pay for squat!! So when you are faced with caring for a person on the spectrum, your not only faced with learning the ropes of what they need to function, you learn with a real hard slap to the face that you won’t be able to pay for what they need. That is sad on so many levels and to be blunt really pi**es me off. I’m wondering how many other mom’s, dads, guardians face this with Autism.  What their child or loved one may need in-order to cope with life.. and learn how to function…. and did not receive the help. Not all therapy’s  are for all people on the spectrum but if it does help and is needed and isn’t available…  what is one to do then?  These children  and adults that are on the spectrum  need  to be able  to get what ever help  they may need to function  it is everyones duty to make this happen.  Here is a list of other video profiles from people that are on the spectrum themselves or have children on the spectrum. You see the reason I feel the need to do this is because A while back during Raise Awareness for Autism Month I followed a few educational links to a few blogs of parents with children on the spectrum I seen that my youngest who I can better relate to than anyone else in my family showed many signs of being on the spectrum. After lots and lots of searching and reading information and personal stories I seen that I too had many signs of being on the spectrum at first I wanted to just hide and at the same time I’m trying to find ways for my daughter to feel accepted  into this world as much as anyone else. I want her to be proud of herself for all her flaws and all her glory.  I want her to be true to herself  I want her to take a stand for what she believes in  and never ever to be ashamed  of  who she is!   Neither of us have gotten a Diagnosis of Autism I have an appointment for her with a Ped. that specializes in that area I plan to ask him how I go about getting evaluated/diagnosed. As I no longer feel like running and hiding. I feel proud once more in all my flaws and all my glory to find out all I can about myself, health and all. I am me no matter my color, size or mental status. I am sound I am sane I’m just not the average Joe so to speak if I do have Autism it in itself does not define who I am rather it helps explain how I think and how I feel better yet it may give me clarification on many aspects of my life but will not be the ruling factor in it.    I have told very few family members that I plan on getting evaluated for Autism because most aren’t aware of what it truly is or isn’t, I myself am not 100% sure of that either. I have found that the ones I have told aren’t dealing with it well the first thing they say is that Your so smart & your Daughter is so smart Yeah well most people with autism  are as smart and some are smarter than average. (That rings true with folks that aren’t on the spectrum too)  Also I have trouble verbally saying what I feel or need. Writing my emotions and thoughts comes a bit easier for me.   I tend to babble a great deal and loose focus when I have to talk to people, as I think I’m doing now. LOL So I’m going to make a list of things I did as a child and things people have pointed out to me as a 29 yr old woman.   In childhood I’d rather be left alone I don’t recall ever liking being touched or cuddled (Even now I don’t) I have always been tested in school test that other kids didn’t take IQ testing and all sorts of other testing the reason they said I have a high IQ but didn’t work up to my potential. I had friends in school but never really felt connected to them I have felt like I’m on the outside looking in on many levels. I hear things others don’t ( buzzing of electronics, lights, far far off noises all have the same intensity as if they all was right next to each other) Flicker of lights make me want to fall over or explode and run out of myself just to get away smells, sounds, taste, touch, sight, have always been heightened  I used to be really bad about head butting things I think I stopped around age 4 yrs I seemed hot tempered and had many out burst (verbal and physical) I’m sure there are more things to mention but that is all I can recall from my childhood   As an adult I still feel the same way as I did as a child I can control myself better I have been told I have a monotone voice from a therapist  Told by many that I look mad or I smile at the wrong times, or I show no emotion when I should (That was the case as a child too) Or I would show to much emotion for something rather than someone ( as a child) Maybe so today as well but I tend to tuck it away and focus on my families needs as an adult and child I tended to laugh at the wrong times causing me to get into trouble.   So with all that is going on with my youngest daughter and my oldest needing just as much TLC my plate has been very full!! I love both my children very much My oldest has taken to music She got an early Christmas gift her dad got her an Ibanez electric guitar and amp. She is so so happy so I have been trying to find things for her to teach herself the guitar and I’ve been learning as well in-order to help her.  She is having a hard time in school as well.  She was home-schooled for a while (2nd grade) and did well with that, she did great the year after being placed in public school but this year in fourth grade as been very hard for her, her grades are slipping and I’m having a hard time with that I feel torn rather to keep her in or pull her out (I have religious reasons and other reasons for home-schooling I also believe in free will and let her choose between the two) I think she is wishing she had chosen to home-school. I think if things continue to take a down slide she’ll be home-schooled again she is an NT (Neurotypical) Yet she tends to learn better by visual so I am better able to help her in the way she best needs or tailor the information so she better understands what to do or how to look for the answers herself. Also investing in structured curriculum helps. I wouldn’t trade my life or any part of it for anything in the universe all though I can say when I was hot headed and 16 I never pictured what I have today.  So with all that is going on I will try to update as much as I can when I can. I have gotten more relief and for longer periods of time with this tea than I have any type of medication I did have to take steroids & cough meds to help until….well most of the time 3 weeks or so, but the tea helps speed healing  and ease the burning in the chest. His father ad been battling cancer My family and I took a trip up to NY to see my father in law a couple months back It’s hard to believe he has passed away. He really seemed like an amazing man who raised 4 boys 3 of them he raised on his own after they grew up he remarried and had another son and raised him. I didn’t get to know him as well as I would have liked do to the long distance between us but what I did get to know was he was a man who valued family, took care of his own, and loved life. He told me about his birth in the house he grew up in and raised his 3 oldest boys in. He was born Christmas Eve. and loved the house he was raised in… He chose to go back to his home place to live out his final days I guess that is the one place he felt most at peace. A lovely home in the mountains with a view most dream to see, wild life all around, friendly down to earth people. I’m glad I got to see the place my husband grew up. There is so much history up there in the mountains of NY I was so amazed by it all. That`s why some say are petitioning for a national alert if their developmentally disabled loved ones wander off. From the outside, Dalton might look like any other three year old. He loves Thomas the Tank Engine and playing outside. But Dalton was recently diagnosed as autistic, and that affects every part of his life. “What Dalton has is PDD, or pervasive developmental delay. He has problems with his speech, he has problems with contact with other people,” says his mom, Jessica Fleckenstein. He`s also curious. “I`ve had him wander off in stores and most of the time when you call his name, he does not respond,” she says. Not only might an autistic child not be able to tell someone their name, they might try to hide from the people who are trying to find them. That`s a worry shared by many parents of autistic children. And that`s why one woman started an online petition for a national alert system for wandering persons. “If we got that alert, if Dalton went off and he wandered and we could not find him in a length of time, his picture would go on TV,” Fleckenstein says. Police say if they know a missing child is autistic, it makes them easier to identify. “If a child is found and they seem to match the description but on the other hand, they`re answering questions appropriately that`s inconsistent with the information we have about the person with autism or something like that, then it`s probably not the right person we`re looking for and we will continue to search until we find them,” says Sgt. Monday we drop her off at the preschool at 8:30 and pick her up a few hours later so they can observe her in an active class room environment The only worry in that is she really really wants to go to school and if she goes for one day she will most likely think it is a full time thing.  If I can’t get her into the preschool or if they say she doesn’t qualify I may look into a private school/Daycare so she can get some much needed input with peers. So we get all our bags (we had lots for a 6 day trip for 4 going from upper 80′s weather to very cold LOL, and my youngest daughters car seat)  they throw it on a bag carrier and off we go in a mad dash to catch our train, it only goes to Albany NY… From there they said we would get a cab to take us the rest of the way at there expense (Thank god we made reservations or we would have had to wing it) Well we had to wait for over 2 hrs for a cab/van… No biggy we were just glad to be over 1/2 way there!! As soon as we get to the place we are to be…  We meet up with my brother – in – law ( Thanks for waiting so long for us!! by the way  ) and from there we head to the hospital to see my husbands father. The trip was a bit unnerving  as this wasn’t a family vacation but a trip to see my husbands dad because he is very ill. It was a split second planned trip. Very hectic  but well worth it. After father-in-law was released from the hospital he told me that he was born in that house that his granddad had built it. I thought that was so neat!! He was born 12-24 he was raised in that home and he raised his children in it as well. The sights at Indian lake can not be beat!! The people are so friendly and warm.  The most favorite place I went to was The lake Store ran by many generation from 1948 I think was the year it started. I wish I had time to see more of Upstate NY with all of us feeling under the weather well we just hung around at Grandpa Dans and that in itself was a great treat!!  I was scared to take my 3yr old because she has some major fears and has never been away from home!! Both my girls did great!! I’m so proud of them!   One more thing I have got to mention before I go is He has a cat named Sammy well you probably are wondering what is so great about a cat!?! This cat is 20 years old   !! He is still up & about a bit def but in pretty good shape! I think he found the fountain of youth in Indian Lake!! It is so hard to get seen by anybody in VA is they offer special services.  I'm going to put a call into my Dr today as he said if we don't get treated the way we feel we should call him. & he will try to get the ball rolling. He did say he sees reasons to be concerned with her behaviors.
