wow school starts soon & my baby is heading for K

I hope all goes well so far I seen happy with what I've seen and heard meeting with the school staff. My girls are growing up so fast it scares me!

It seems like yesterday I was putting my oldest daughter on the bus for K now she is heading into 6th grade and my youngest is heading to K. I'm more nervous though I do have to admit for my youngest to head off to school not only because she is on the autism spectrum but she is just so so small!!

It has been a busy summer here for us & I'm sorry I haven't blogged much I need to get back into blogging, just most days I'm so drained by days end it is next to impossible to keep a clear thought on what to blog about LOL

I'll be posting back to school pic's & keeping everyone up to date on her adventures at school soon... it starts here Sept. 8th
I still have a meeting or two to set up before then she'll be getting a school bus tour hopefully and I want to get her schedule so I can get her prepared on what to expect I'm waiting to show her the schedule until about a week before school

I know I should prob. do it sooner but she is so excited about school if you mention it she is ready to go NOW! lol

well I best get off here & get back to work I just wanted to give my readers a shout out and let you all know what all has been going on.

I have had a few stressful weeks I have been under the weather, I had to go to the Dr today I was told I have possible gall bladder issues I was like yeah I figured that, so what do we do, So My Dr says try to avoid stress, fatty foods & foods with cholesterol OK I have because if I eat any form of meat cheese or milk it sets off my gall bladder. He also says Don't eat while stressed that seems to trigger it for some folks. OK That would be a very slim chance for me to ever have a meal then because my house if full of chaos LOL Then he tells me he wants to do loads of test on me this weekend. I'm like Okie Dokie

So I get home & fix me some yummy Lima beans set down beside my 4 yr old who is waiting for Daddy to finish the pizza & I think wow it is so peaceful WOW a stress free meal!.... Well that lasted a very short while....

My 4 yr old was snacking on a ice cream cone (minus the ice cream just a dry cone) she wigs out all of a sudden...

I seen out of the corner of my eye her take a bite of the cone, it looked like a piece of the cone may have flown up her nose! Yup it did just that... sending her into a panic and me into a scrabble to try & get this lodged piece of dry cone out of her nose.

All the while I'm trying to not panic or bust into laughter. I'm thinking Dang I did not see that coming, I still can't believe it, I had to set my meal aside until I calmed down from the scare of an ice cream cone chunk in the nose... then I wasn't able to eat because I couldn't stop LMAO about it.

All in All we got it out of her nose & I finally collected myself so I could finish my meal.

Just don't ask her if she wants a cone as she is a bit scared of them now LOL

If things like that keep happening in my house I'm 1/2 tempted to keep a live web-cam going LOL

Well that sums up my day I'm so ready for bed LOL

She got a few new Thomas trains for Christmas this year one being a remote controlled one & one named Gordon after her grandpa & one named Donald after her daddy. She got playing with them all at the same time on the track... Nothing could pull her away from them she was in HEAVEN!! The trains got hitting one another & it was bogging some of them out, I told her it would blow the engine and tear it up. She gets all wide eyed & I explain further what I meant so now she only puts one train on the track at a time...

Our cat Kadin however, well he wasn't so sure about the trains he looked like he was very scared of all the racket the trains made toppled by screams of joy & laughter.

He got a little bit braver around them but only if nobody was around other than my 4 yr old playing with her trains, he got to the point of laying across the track if the trains was stopped so she couldn't play with them.... Then he thought OK I'll just plop down on the track while the train is in action... I'm in my bedroom my oldest daughter in hers, while my 4 yr old is playing with her trains. Kadin puts himself on the track & the Donald train runs into his butt, He continues to lay there not letting the train pass I hear the train bogging out then my 4 yr old screaming he's going to BLOW IT UP!!!! I come to see what all the noise is about to see Kadin across the track with a toy train stuck to his behind. I yell at him to get off the track.

He bolts up and the car is left on the track & the engine of the train is still bogging out at it is tangled in the long hair of Kadins butt he goes darting around the tree almost bringing it down trying to get the train off his behind I'm at this point laughing so hard trying to catch him to shut the train off (this isn't the remote on but one that stays on) as Nevada is screaming her head off. Finally I got the train off him & all was well again...

MURRAYVILLE, Georgia (CNN) -- A few weeks before 13-year-old Jonathan King killed himself, he told his parents that his teachers had put him in "time-out."

"We thought that meant go sit in the corner and be quiet for a few minutes," Tina King said, tears washing her face as she remembered the child she called "our baby ... a good kid."

But time-out in the boy's north Georgia special education school was spent in something akin to a prison cell -- a concrete room latched from the outside, its tiny window obscured by a piece of paper.

Called a seclusion room, it's where in November 2004, Jonathan hanged himself with a cord a teacher gave him to hold up his pants. Watch Jonathan's parents on their son's death »

An attorney representing the school has denied any wrongdoing.

Seclusion rooms, sometimes called time-out rooms, are used across the nation, generally for special needs children. Critics say that along with the death of Jonathan, many mentally disabled and autistic children have been injured or traumatized.

Few states have laws on using seclusion rooms, though 24 states have written guidelines, according to a 2007 study conducted by a Clemson University researcher.

Texas, which was included in that study, has stopped using seclusion and restraint. Georgia has just begun to draft guidelines, four years after Jonathan's death.

Based on conversations with officials in 22 states with written guidelines, seclusion is intended as a last resort when other attempts to calm a child have failed or when a student is hurting himself or others.

Michigan requires that a child held in seclusion have constant supervision from an instructor trained specifically in special education, and that confinement not exceed 15 minutes.

Connecticut education spokesman Tom Murphy said "time-out rooms" were used sparingly and were "usually small rooms with padding on the walls."

Only Vermont tracks how many children are kept in seclusion from year to year, though two other states, Minnesota and New Mexico, say they have been using the rooms less frequently in recent years.

Dr. Veronica Garcia, New Mexico's education secretary, said her state had found more sophisticated and better ways to solve behavior problems. Garcia, whose brother is autistic, said, "The idea of confining a child in a room repeatedly and as punishment, that's an ethics violation I would never tolerate."

But researchers say that the rooms, in some cases, are being misused and that children are suffering.

Public schools in the United States are now educating more than half a million more students with disabilities than they did a decade ago, according to the National Education Association.

"Teachers aren't trained to handle that," said Dr. Roger Pierangelo, executive director of the National Association of Special Education Teachers.

"When you have an out-of-control student threatening your class -- it's not right and it can be very damaging -- but seclusion is used as a 'quick fix' in many cases."

Former Rhode Island special education superintendent Leslie Ryan told CNN that she thought she was helping a disabled fifth-grader by keeping him in a "chill room" in the basement of a public elementary school that was later deemed a fire hazard.

"All I know is I tried to help this boy, and I had very few options," Ryan said. After the public learned of the room, she resigned from her post with the department but remains with the school.

School records do not indicate why Jonathan King was repeatedly confined to the concrete room or what, if any, positive outcome was expected.

His parents say they don't recognize the boy described in records as one who liked to kick and punch his classmates. They have launched a wrongful death lawsuit against the school -- the Alpine Program in Gainesville -- which has denied any wrongdoing. A Georgia judge is expected to rule soon on whether the case can be brought before a jury.

Jonathan's parents say the boy had been diagnosed since kindergarten with severe depression and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. But his father remembers him as a boy who was happy when he sang in the church choir.

"He was a hugger, liked to go fishing with me and run after me saying, 'Daddy, when are we going to the lake?' " Don King said.

King said that he wanted to know if there were similar situations in other schools and that critics of seclusion rooms fear there could be.

"Jonathan's case is the worst of the worst, but it should be a warning. It's reasonable to think that it could happen in all the other schools that use seclusion on disabled children -- largely because the use of seclusion goes so unchecked," said Jane Hudson, an attorney with the National Disability Rights Network.

"This is one of those most unregulated, unresearched areas I've come across," said Joseph Ryan, a Clemson University special education researcher who has worked in schools for disabled kids and co-authored a study on the use of seclusion.

"You have very little oversight in schools of these rooms -- first because the general public doesn't really even know they exist," he said.

There is no national database tracking seclusion incidents in schools, though many have been described in media reports, lawsuits, disability advocacy groups' investigations and on blogs catering to parents who say their child had been held in seclusion.

Disability Rights California, a federally funded watchdog group, found that teachers dragged children into seclusion rooms they could not leave. In one case, they found a retarded 8-year-old had been locked alone in a seclusion room in a northeast California elementary school for at least 31 days in a year.

"What we found outrageous was that we went to the schools and asked to see the rooms and were denied," said Leslie Morrison, a psychiatric nurse and attorney who led the 2007 investigation that substantiated at least six cases of abuse involving seclusion in public schools.

"It took a lot of fighting to eventually get in to see where these children were held."

CNN asked every school official interviewed if a reporter could visit a seclusion room and was denied every time.

In other instances of alleged abuse:

• A Tennessee mother alleged in a federal suit against the Learn Center in Clinton that her 51-pound 9-year-old autistic son was bruised when school instructors used their body weight on his legs and torso to hold him down before putting him in a "quiet room" for four hours. Principal Gary Houck of the Learn Center, which serves disabled children, said lawyers have advised him not to discuss the case.

• Eight-year-old Isabel Loeffler, who has autism, was held down by her teachers and confined in a storage closet where she pulled out her hair and wet her pants at her Dallas County, Iowa, elementary school. Last year, a judge found that the school had violated the girl's rights. "What we're talking about is trauma," said her father, Doug Loeffler. "She spent hours in wet clothes, crying to be let out." Waukee school district attorney Matt Novak told CNN that the school has denied any wrongdoing.

• A mentally retarded 14-year-old in Killeen, Texas, died from his teachers pressing on his chest in an effort to restrain him in 2001. Texas passed a law to limit both restraint and seclusion in schools because the two methods are often used together.

Federal law requires that schools develop behavioral plans for students with disabilities. These plans are supposed to explicitly explain behavior problems and methods the teacher is allowed to use to stop it, including using music to calm a child or allowing a student to take a break from schoolwork.

A behavioral plan for Jonathan King, provided to CNN by the Kings' attorney, shows that Jonathan was confined in the seclusion room on 15 separate days for infractions ranging from cursing and threatening other students to physically striking classmates.

Howard "Sandy" Addis, the director of the Pioneer education agency which oversees Alpine, said that the room where Jonathan died is no longer in use. Citing the ongoing litigation, he declined to answer questions about the King case but defended the use of seclusion for "an emergency safety situation."

The Alpine Program's attorney, Phil Hartley, said Jonathan's actions leading up to his suicide did not suggest the boy was "serious" about killing himself. Jonathan's actions were an "effort to get attention," Hartley said.

"This is a program designed for students with severe emotional disabilities and problems," he said. "It is a program which frequently deals with students who use various methods of getting attention, avoiding work."

A substitute employee placed in charge of watching the room on the day Jonathan died said in an affidavit that he had no training in the use of seclusion, and didn't know Jonathan had threatened suicide weeks earlier.

The Kings say they would have removed their son from the school if they knew he was being held in seclusion, or that he had expressed a desire to hurt himself.

"We would have home schooled him or taken him to another psychologist," said Don King. "If we would have known, our boy would have never been in that room. He would still be alive." "

It has been a busy time for me and my family

With school back in and the time change I feel like there is never enough minutes in a day. the kids have had a good couple weeks Halloween was pretty fun as well. LOL

I still have a good bit of work to do on the forums the chat is set to go though I really love the chat It was easy to get installed on my MySQL and on my hosting The folks at http://www.pcpin.com/ did a wonderful job on getting it set up so it was very easy to install & best of all IT WORKS!! lol

I have tried many types of chat most I was very unhappy with do to trouble it had on my MySQL or it was buggy or had no setting for the site owner to have control over any part of the chat but the PCPIN Chat 6 is Great the install instructions are simple & to the point the chat is set up so you have full control over it & I mean 100% you can ban people you can also permit others to create rooms you can have guest to log in and chat or not, you can also permit file uploads it is a super chat all the way around.

Ok so enough talk about my site.

On to an update on my oldest daughter she is doing great in school this year she is in 5th grade (Oh that is so hard to believe!) She is advanced in math so she takes 6th grade math. he is off to D.C. today on a fieldtrip

She also joined the garden club I wish her luck there I hope she gets a green thumb from someone in my family because I do not have one LOL

and as for my youngest she is doing great we still have not gotten her into any school (head start) or anything so I guess she will be mainstreamed I have no problem with that I guess she & I will learn as we go down that road.

What a busy busy week

So This week my brother in law finally makes it to NY from FL he was to stop in here on his way up, well that did not happen his car over heated to the point of the engine locking up. So he sold his car hops on a bus and off to NY he goes. He gets up there and stays for a few days and goes to bring his dads truck down to FL and guess what....

It over heats too LOL Not to the point that the engine locks up, but the radiator was rusted out So off to the repair shop goes the truck and he finally gets his moms car to head back to FL in He makes it here pays us a visit and head on his way He finally makes up there and back.

Then this weekend I bought a new domain and set up a huge site all the while I was keeping one of my oldest daughters friend for the night and hubby had a couple friends over to teach them how to build & maintain their computers So with all that going on & then some that I won't mention here LOL This week flew by!

I'm a person who believes in reincarnation I think we get little glimpses of our past lives or maybe that is where our deep seeded fears, likes & dislikes grow from. I had always wanted to get a past life ready so I took off looking to find someone that could do just that I found a site that lead to another site that lead to my reading

My reading in a nutshell and how I can relate

About the first life

In the first life, it showed me a story of a person (a woman), who had much success. It was an earned success through hard work and diligence. However you did enjoy the finer things in life and were quite reckless with your fortune. It also shows a possible alcohol abuse problem. It also goes onto say that your business was commerce, possibly over seas or on the seas. You had made new discoveries and were a feared and unchallenged leader.

Now in this spread, it also asks what your life purpose was. In this life, your life purpose was to abandon all material and worldly reign to discover your own freedom and enlightenment. The next card tells me if your past life realized its purpose. I do see through much challenge and struggle your purpose was realized before it was too late.

Now the next 2 cards talk about the baggage you had and what you carried into this life. Your baggage was revealed through the Queen of Cups -Reversed. She shows me a deep inner struggle and dark seeded feelings that include but are not limited to being trustworthy or perverse. Now what did you carry into your current life? Skill, bravery but also a defensive, resistant and destructive feeling to those that cross you. Be reminded, you are probably one to be able to control these actions but your first reaction is to take them down a notch. (You were a water sign in your past life- possibly Scorpio- which makes you a formidable foe to anyone.)

My Take On The This Part

**** I see this to be very true "In this life, your life purpose was to abandon all material and worldly reign to discover your own freedom and enlightenment." I am this way even today Riches of the world is not something I hold dear (Money, power Gotta keep up with the Jones) That is not me I'm low key & greatful for things in nature & my family****

About the second life

In the second life, it shows a rigid minded person who was greatly dishonored due to a past life. (It's possible that your previous life caught up to you). You were perhaps a renowned designer or professional person who was hard working and enjoyed the fruits of your hard work.

Your life purpose in this life was when you had to cut ties because of outdated practices, it was to be a turning point and change in circumstance. You however did not find your purpose and ended up being a jack of all trades, a knowledgeable person who did not pass this insight on to others and became lazy, withdrawn (much like a recluse).

The baggage that was brought on by this was a possible health problem or ailment that caused you to become even more withdrawn from society. This ailment effected you so greatly that you unfortunately did not achieve your purpose. Therefore, leaving you feeling as if you had no purpose, and that you made no progress.

I kind of feel like this ailment is what caused the turning point. I also feel like it might have been some sort of defect that possibly was disfiguring. This can attest to your attitude that no one needed you and you needed no one. The baggage you brought with you is the feeling of "what's my purpose?", "what am I suppose to be doing?". Which we have discussed before.

My Take On The This Part

Now to your present life

All of this has made you more balanced. You are a kind person who shows charity and understanding, sympathy and solvency in material and spiritual affairs (as if to help others solve their problems). The one thing you have a hard time doing is seeing both sides of the coin in all matters (we all have this problem though!)..

I did pull an outcome card. It shows (funny) rebirth, a new beginning, perhaps this is a sign that either you are fulfilling your purpose now and will be reborn again or soon your purpose will be revealed to you, I think in a dream or vision (the Ace of Swords is a hand with a sword in clouds).

Great Place for a New Look

So my 10 yr old daughter had been wanting a hair cut.

So I called this little place today called Panache Hair Salon & Color Bar Got in the same day I thought that was cool!!

The staff was awesome & the atmosphere was great! This little place is localed in King George VA so if you are new here or driving through & need a cut or color I say this is your place!

One thing I really like about this place is they are up-front if they see you leaning towards a style that maybe hard to keep up with due to your hair type... they will be open & truthful & help you find something that will work for you & look great!! Not many places are like that & I find that priceless!

It's hearing time and we need all hands on deck! All Virginia autism advocates interested in getting $36,000 a year in private insurance coverage for autism treatments and therapies for your children need to be in Richmond next Monday, September 29, 2008!

Join us in the General Assembly Building, House Room D on the Capitol Grounds in Richmond on Monday, September 29th, 2008 at 1:00 pm as the autism insurance initiative is reviewed by the Special Advisory Commission on Mandated Health Insurance Benefits. The members of the commission, which includes many of your Virginia legislators, need to see with their own eyes how important this is to you.

Your physical presence in Richmond is imperative to launch the autism insurance initiative! This is our first opportunity to make a lasting impression on Virginia's legislators!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

I had a pretty fun day... I nor the girls was feeling 100% it seems our sinus problems are kicking full blast & my oldest seems to be getting some sort of bug!

We all headed out to Borders I thought the kids and hubby could check out the books and movies as I had a paranormal meeting there that lasted about 1 to 2 hrs, Plus in Central Park there was plenty to keep them busy.
The meeting went well we are going to try & get a few hunts lined up. Borders was a bit noisier than I would have like it made it a bit hard to hear everyone at the meeting, but all in all it was nice.

After the meeting we headed of to....

Then we went to that dreaded place Super Wal-Mart By this time my giddy up & go had done giddy up & went! After spending all day cleaning the house & getting the clothes done up we left the house at 6 pm & got back a little after 11 pm I have been up from 6 am & mother nature payed me a visit this morning. So The day was really starting to wear on me. But I keep my chin up.

I get into this way to big of a store with way to many people in it looking for pads & Dual DVR W's couldn't find the DVR's, so I go to look for the pads. Hubby is like hey just ask someone I was like OK...

So I walk up to a lady with a Wal-Mart shirt on I asked if she knew where the pads are? She looks at me like I'm from another planet. I'm Thinking OK Let me rephrase my questing .... What isle is the sanitary napkins on? Here I stand trying not to bust a gut LMAO because I have hit that point that I'm so freaking sleeping I'm like a giddy drunk. And there she stands still giving me that deer in the head lights look with a Big Smile. I'm at this point thinking she doesn't speak English. I'm like are they down that way or that way (point from right to left) She's Like yeah yeah pointing all over

So I thank her for letting me confuse her and go on my way, I finally find that pads and we get heading home.

In the car my husband said maybe you should have pointed at your crotch LMAO I was like no way in hell!! OMG it was funny though. I could just picture what might have happened if I did do that... I bet I would have gotten knocked on my butt or she would have freaked and ran. I was like yeah maybe that & say Big Band-aids?

So needless to say I walked a huge circle in the store to find the pads only to find them in the last place I looked!

I love that saying "I found it in the last place I looked" But of course... cause after you find what you are looking for what would be the point in continuing to look for what you already have found!

Any how I'm off to bed.

I grew up in a small town in WV there wasn't much to the town at all it had some really neat old houses & buildings from an early age, things from long ago fascinated me, I loved history, hearing stories from the past and how things came to be in my small home town.

I grew up in many homes with in the city as we rented what ever our pockets could afford. Before I tell you about my story of moving into a home that is already occupied. I'll give you a little information on the city of Richwood.

Richwood is a city in Nicholas County, just outside of the Monongahela National Forest. Located in the south central area of West Virginia, deep in the hills, accessible by a two-lane paved road.

History

The area surrounding the forks of the Cherry River has been populated since the late 18th century CE. Local legend holds that Shawnee chief Blue Jacket was in fact a young white hunter named Marmaduke Van Swearingen who was kidnapped in the area. This theory, however, has generally fallen out of favor with most scholars.

During the 19th century, the area was a sparsely-settled semi-wilderness of homesteads and subsistence farms. This changed in 1898 when a railroad was extended into the area, then known as Cherry Tree Bottoms. In 1901, the town was incorporated with its present name, a nod to the abundant hardwood forests in the area. Soon the area possessed a large sawmill and the world's largest clothespin factory. Coal mine closures, however, crippled Richwood's economy in the 1970s and 1980s.

The town was once home to several large businesses and industries. In addition to the sawmill and the clothespin factory, there were other factories that produced wood-based products such as axe-handles and paper. Coal also came into the industry picture during Richwood's boom-era during pre-depression years. During this time the city's population neared 10,000 citizens. Banking was also a white collar industry that succeeded in the city with the large companies investing into the city's financial corporations. Once the large factories closed or relocated, many of the people followed. The final hit was when the coal industry took a downward turn and most of the local coal mines ceased operation. This was combined with a deep mining disaster when one of the local mines collapsed.

The city has also had problems with periodic flooding. Recently, The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has approved impact studies in order to determine the propriety of the construction of dam on the South Fork of the Cherry River in order to limit future flooding. The proposed name for the possible lake is Eagle Lake. Depending on the exact location of the dam, the reservoir could become the largest lake in the state of West Virginia, surpassing nearby Summersville Lake.

Richwood is now seeking to be reborn as both an artisan community and a technology center.

OK So here goes my story...

I was around 8 to 9 years old, My family (My mother , step father, baby sister & myself) Moved into this little house on Maple Street It sat across the river from the High School up on the hill.

It was a cozy little 2 bedroom house, It had a good sized front porch & a sun porch on the back of the house. You could not get to the back porch from out side, The only way in & out of the house was through the front door.

It did not take long at all for my baby sister & I to know that we were not the only ones living in that house. I seen stuff right as soon as we started unpacking. I was amazed and scared by the things I seen. I told my mom as soon as I seen things happen I think she was reluctant to believe me until she had her own experiences.

One thing that I recall happening in my mothers bedroom. My sister was in her crib she was maybe 1 to 2 yrs old if that, my mom was unpacking. I was helping a little & playing with my sister, who was playing with a ball-cap. She was at the age that she liked to throw stuff so she couldn't reach it & got a kick out of you picking it up & giving it back to her, so she could do it all again. I was getting tired of that game really fast...

She tossed the hat to the ground I didn't feel like picking it up & handing it to her again so I didn't! LOL My mom was busy trying to get things in order her back to the crib I was facing the crib thinking to myself "I wish she would stop fussing over the hat & play something else!" And to my shock the hat lifted up & into my sisters hands!!

I stood there in shock trying to wrap my young mind around what I had just seen. I got the power in me to tell my mom who was in the same room as my sister & I, but had not seen it as she was facing the wrong way. She told me to stop messing around & behave. So I went about my business.

After living there for a while others things happened too, little odd things that just made you stop wonder & think Hmm what is going on? Am I losing my mind? Did I just hear what I think I heard. or did I just see what I think I seen! When stuff happens out of the range of "Normal" it can make anyone of any age question there sanity, Then when you are sure there is something going on out of the "Normal range" & into the Paranormal one. It might be to much to own up to... so then you pretend nothing happened, until it gets to a point that you can no longer hide the fact!!
Things become so bothersome you feel something has to be done, but what? Just pick up & move? Call a priest, Tell a friend all the while you wonder if they will question your sanity just has you have.

I kept seeing things move in the house, I would see what looked like a person standing in the room out of the corner of my eye... I turn to see who it is.. mom, my step dad? I look and find no one there.

Then hearing foot steps walking up & down the narrow sun porch on the back of the house. Looking to find no one. The sun porch was as long as the house it had many windows looking out side & many from in the house looking onto the sun porch. My mom kept the blinds in her bedroom pulled that looked out onto the sun porch. She seen a man (or his shadow) walking on the porch & heard foot steps she went to go see who was trespassing in our home, only to find nobody there. She started to see also that we was not the only ones living there. At this time we felt a little un-nerved but didn't fear for our safety.

Then more stuff started happening, We started getting touch, grabbed, and poked really hard, I was going to sleep in my bed, my room had 2 doors to it one led from the dinning room & the other led to my moms room, I was facing the wall and just relaxed enough to drift off. My mom and step dad had gone to bed too and was sleepy sound.

Finally I'm sleeping sound too! Then I get a jabbing poke on my shoulder. I woke up real fast fully awake but to scared to move or speak or anything!! I lay there paralyzed with fear trying to search my mind yet again as to what was really going on?

Did I dream I got touched just now or did something really take a poke at my shoulder?
Before I finished that thought 3 more really forceful taps hit my shoulder and the room felt very cool!!! I sprung up from my bed & ran to my moms room & I leap into thier bed! I was shaking scared. What ever or who ever is in that home with us must of gotten bored with us paying them no mind and wanted to make us aware that they was still around.

When I got tapped it was at first like a straight poke into the back of my shoulder, enough to move me as if you are trying to wake a person for school or work. Then the other taps was even harder like when you can't get the person to wake you use more force. After that happened I became scared of being in my own home cause it didn't feel so cozy or homey anymore.

Another thing that seemed very odd is my baby sister who before moving into that house had to be held or in the same room with one of us, you know the normal separation anxiety all kids go through. Well she got to a point of being happier in her crib in my moms room, it seemed as if she had found the perfect playmate, yet no one was there.

A couple other things I recall faintly that took place was the Christmas tree rocking like it was going to topple over, The tree set solid and did not move easy at all the houses' floors was solid as well!! So for the tree to start dancing on it's own was a shocker!

And the last thing I recall was my step father sleeping in a recliner (that also set solid)
Flipping back like someone grabbing the foot rest and flinging it. I was napping on the couch & my sister was in the chair resting on my step fathers chest. He at first thought I had grabbed his feet and flip the chair. Until he seen I was snoozing on the couch. I woke to see what the loud noise was, to see him flipped over in the chair with the look of fear on his face! It shook him up pretty good & he isn't one to spook easy as he was an EMS worker & Fire Fighter. He has seen many things, But I guess what is scariest of all is hearing, feeling, and catching glimpses of something that "isn't there"

So That was the first time I ever had a paranormal experience, & I say with certainty it was not my last

Tropical Storm Hanna

Well this storm wasn't that bad as far as I know there was no twisters in VA from it or major power outages, our power went on & off a good bit but it didn't stay off thank goodness.

This is a message from the band Out Of Ether. I felt the need to share with my readers

Greetings Everyone,

We just want to write a brief note to thank you for all your support about our song Don't Let Go.

As writers of the song, each one of us have had parents and dear friends who have faced cancer and death.

Sadly, several years ago, while we were writing Don't Let Go- one of our mothers died of a brain tumor.

Don't Let Go was written as a tribute to her, to our parents (Mothers and Fathers) and to our daughters.

Since most of you know what has happened with the song- to see her memory violated and to see others profit and promote themselves with an idea we created, is very painful for us.

In the end, we truly believe integrity and honesty is what music is truly about.

Fortunately, a number of people in the recording industry are beginning to find out what happened to us, who was involved and more importantly are willing and anxious to support our cause.

Currently, Don't Let Go is being featured by Clear Channel Communications and a Grass-Roots group of Radio Stations and Promoters who want to do what's right!

Screaming like a Banshee

I heard that term many times growing up in the hills of WV "Screaming like a Banshee". I never knew what a Banshee was or what it really meant.

As I sat bored the other day I got looking into what a Banshee might be? As a pastime I like to research & read things about history & Folklore. And I stumble across some neat information regarding the Banshee.

A Banshee is an Irish or Scottish Lady Spirit/Fairy, that is usually seen as an omen of death, or a messenger from the Otherworld. From my understanding the Banshee will wail and run around the house when someone in the family is about to die, It is also told that when someone Great or Holy is about to take that trip to the great unknown there will be more than one Banshee at the home.

So.... the Banshee is a messengers of death, to tell us of a death about to take place or to inform us a loved one has already passed.

I just read a news clip I had to reread it to make sure my eyes was not playing tricks on me!

I am baffled by it really! Why would a school district think it would be a good idea to permit their teachers & staff to carry concealed weapons?

I wonder if they looked into the odds of their own weapon being used against them, If brought into a situation that they should need to fire their weapon at a person are they going to be able to do so?

I could set here and write five pages worth of what if's. All I can say is I would not permit my child to go to a school with pistil packing staff!

Texas school district allows teachers to carry guns for protection

AUSTIN, Texas - Along with normal first-day jitters and excitement, students in this tiny district started school Monday wondering which teachers might be toting firearms.

"It was kind of awkward knowing that some teachers were carrying guns," said Adam Lira, 17, a senior. "I don't feel like they should be, 'cause we already have locked doors and cameras. But I didn't feel threatened by it."
Several parents said they had no idea that employees of the K-12 school were allowed to carry concealed guns on campus until recent publicity about the school board's policy, approved quietly last fall. They said they were upset that the rural community near the Oklahoma border had not been able to give input.

I hope to get to go on many investigations. I have always had an interest in the paranormal happenings. I have had experiences as a child & an adult that sparked that fire with in. Oops I flooded the kitchen

Thank Goodness every morning isn't like this one. I get up throw some dishes in the dish washer put on a pot of coffee & get the kids something to eat. I come to get me a cup of coffee & almost fall down because the floor is slick as can be & filled with water!

I get to cleaning that up & go after some towels come back & there is a pretty good spider that came from out under the sink! I HATE spiders with a passion! so I get everything clean fix the pipe under the sink & think Hmmm... I wonder what the rest of the day has tucked away for me?

Oh yeah & I have heard this song more than I would like as My youngest daughter LOVES it. I like it to but good gravy man she could put that one song on replay & hear it all day long LOL

The Kitty thinks he's King of the Castle

He is still not eating much. He is staying up more at night & does most his things then (potty, drinking & eating) I hope he continues to get well & stay well.

He has once again taken over my oldest daughters bedroom & he has once again started keeping her awake at night so After he does his duties of bugging her all night & trying to wake her to play. Once he has gotten her out of "his" bed he then makes himself comfy & sleeps. LOL

When he was younger he is still young, He would try to keep her up at night & he stayed in her room on her bed, Then he became a bit more with drawn I had no clue he was having bladder problems but hind sight being 20/20 he wasn't feeling well & well he seemed to become a bit depressed. He has gotten much better these past couple days & is seeming to be more like him old self than not.

Kitty Kadin is Home

He got home around 6 pm yesterday Thank goodness. He has new food he has to learn to like and he is having trouble eating it because the dry food is so small it kept falling out of his mouth so I just hand fed him I was like man I wonder if you know how lucky you are?
He looks up at me and does his gruphy purr Like yup I know He seemed lots more content after he got some food in his tummy.

I hope he gets the hang of the new food it was pitiful & funny at the same time he'd pick up a piece & go to flick it back so he could chew it & it would fly out & roll across the floor then he would look all over for that one piece he flung. LMAO I thought I'd get sleep after having him home but each time I've tried to drift off he climbs up near me purring so load it almost whistles LOL But thats better than no sleep do to worry.

Is he or isn't he coming home?!? That is the question

I really hate waiting, Today should be Kadin release date from the hospital but I won't know anything until after 2:30 today on rather he gets to come home or not today. It is frustrating, and worrisome. I'm scared this will happen again I plan to follow his medical needs to a T that the vet gives me He'll forever & ever be on an RX food and that is OK too. I just hope nothing more is wrong with him. & did I mention I really really hate waiting.

My nerves have been so jumbled I have had bowel issues I can't sleep because my brain won't shut up at night & I miss my kitty cat!

I know each day the Vets & Assistants are falling in love with him. I think he isn't eating for them I don't know though for sure yet I know he refused to eat at the emergency vets, He can be very finicky & persnickety & well he just doesn't feel well I'm sure he has never been away from home this long or us so he is probably super sad & confused.

Well I guess I'll go clean something again to keep my mind busy. Plus I'm going to look into finding a part time job come hell or high water I got to get to work.

My kitty is very sick! He is in the hospital now & looking at a 3 day stay...

I'm so sad & worried right now as my kitty Kadin is very sick he has/had a blockage in his bladder caused from kidney stones Sound like an easy fix but it can happen again & it is costly. They put him under & ran a catheter (not sure I spelled that right) to open his pee-pee hole & to remove the stones, This I had done on money I borrowed I will be paying it back but it will really be hard on us money wise for a while this alone at the emergency animal hospital was almost 700.00 & we still have to pay for a 3 day stay at our local vet.

My kids are heartbroken I told them up front that Kadin is very very sick & could die even still he might not make it. He might end up getting blocked again & if that happens it would be another 700.00 or more to unblock him. Money we don't have.

So if you pray pray that he gets well

Kadin is sorta like a service cat for my youngest daughter who has autism he is the best friend of my oldest daughter & well I just love him so much he is by far the best cat in the world!!

Effects of Gluten and Diary on autism finally researched

Researchers at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston have embarked on one of the first double-blind, clinical studies to determine whether gluten and dairy products play a role in autistic behavior as parents have anecdotally claimed.

The pilot study is one of seven current studies on autism in the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

"There's a lot of misinformation, so that's why this study is so important," said Fernando Navarro, M.D., assistant professor of pediatrics at the medical school and lead investigator of the study. "Hundreds and hundreds of parents think this works but we need serious evidence."

Autism is a complex neurobehavioral disorder linked to early abnormalities of brain development. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, it affects up to six of every 1,000 children and is characterized by impaired social interaction, problems with verbal and nonverbal communication and unusual, repetitive or severely limited activities and interests.

Researchers have discovered that there are differences in the central nervous system's anatomy and function in those diagnosed with autism, but the cause of the disorder is unknown. Experts theorize it may be a combination of genetics and environment.

"A lot of children with autism have gastrointestinal problems such as constipation and diarrhea. Whether these problems are related to brain development is open to question," said Katherine Loveland, Ph.D., co-investigator and professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, pediatrics and biomedical sciences at the health science center. "There are neurotransmitters and neuroreceptors in the gut that correspond with those in the brain. There are some scientific reasons to think that some kids may benefit from this diet."

For the double-blind study, funded in its initial phase by supplemental funds granted by the Department of Pediatrics, researchers will enroll 38 autistic children ages 3 to 9. They will look at the influence of gluten and milk proteins in the intestinal function. Gluten is a protein in wheat; casein and whey are proteins in milk. Casomorphin, a peptide in milk; and gliadomorphin, a peptide in gluten, are thought to be related to changes in behavior in these children. Children will be taken off gluten and dairy products before the four-week study and then half will be given gluten/milk powder and half will be given a placebo powder.

Researchers will study intestinal permeability (leaky gut) through urine collection and behavior through psychometric testing.

Co-investigators for the study are J. Marc Rhoads, M.D., professor and director of gastroenterology at the medical school, and Deborah A. Pearson, Ph.D., professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences.

Children will be enrolled through the UT Physicians pediatric gastroenterology clinic and The University of Texas Mental Sciences Institute. Navarro and Rhoads are attending physicians at Memorial Hermann hospitals.

We just made Ice Cream in a bag :-) With Chocolate Soy milk

OK this turned out more like a fudge pop texture but for a couple kids who can't have casein this was a hit. It took about 10 to 15 minutes of shacking and flopping the bags around (LMAO that sounds odd) and then it is finished.

Some gloves might be handy too

What you'll need:
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1/2 cup milk or half & half (we used Chocolate Silk Soy Milk)
• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
• 6 tablespoons rock salt
• 1 pint-size plastic food storage bag (e.g., Ziploc)
• 1 gallon-size plastic food storage bag
• Ice cubes

How to make it:
1. Fill the large bag half full of ice, and add the rock salt. Seal the bag.
2. Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag, and seal it.
3. Place the small bag inside the large one, and seal it again carefully.
4. Shake until the mixture is ice cream, which takes about 5 minutes.
5. Wipe off the top of the small bag, then open it carefully. Enjoy!

Tips:
A 1/2 cup milk will make about 1 scoop of ice cream, so double the recipe if you want more. But don't increase the proportions more that that -- a large amount might be too big for kids to pick-up because the ice itself is heavy.

DOUBLE
• 2 tablespoon sugar
• 1 cup milk or half & half (Chocolate Silk Soy Milk)

Cooking up a storm with Domata Living Flour

WOW!! that one word sums up my day!!

I ordered some Domata Living Flour I love it I was hoping to get more pictures of what all I cooked but was unable to because my family gobbled up the food so fast!

I made pancakes this morning... before I moved us over to the GFCF diet my youngest could hardly eat do to tummy pains & most of the time she would end up leaving the table with complaints of a tummy ache! If I had fixed pancakes she would hardly even eat one.

Well after getting the Domata Living Flour and using it (for the first time today) she has ate much more food & with no tummy aches!!
She has been able to eat what she likes the texture of! She loves her breads & pasta & brownies with most flour I have tried after going on the GFCF diet none would suite her at all, but Domata Living Flour has taken the cake!!

I can cook with it as easy as regular flour it taste wonderful, it makes some kick butt pasta too!! I made a HUGE pot of spaghetti tonight with home made sauce. My Youngest ate a big plate full & was happier than I had seen her in a long time & her tummy didn't not hurt! I myself was doing a happy dance.

I also made GFCF brownies they are so yummy!! I almost wasn't able to get a picture of these because my family almost gobbled them all up too! LOL

So here is a photo of what is left of them

The peanut butter icing I also made from scratch

I took about 1 table spoon of peanut butter, 1 teaspoon of margarine about 1/2 cup of confectioners sugar and a wee wee bit of water just enough to dampen the sugar I mixed it up until smooth and drizzled it on the brownies once they cooled. My mom taught me how to make the icing.

And for my noodles

Noodles consist basically of flour and water.

Ingredients:

2 cups flour

1/2 cup water (give or take a little)

Egg noodles are made by using two eggs plus enough water to make 1/2 cup instead of the plain water

When using this type of pasta machine, the dough must not be too wet, otherwise it will stick in the machine. Once you have rolled the sheets, it may be necessary to let them air dry for about 10 minutes to be able to cut them properly. The drying time will vary depending on the humidity of the air and the amount of moisture in the dough. If the dough is too moist, the noodles will tend to clump together. The noodles may be air dried by draping them on plastic coat hangers for several hours, or they may be refrigerated for use at a later time I myself use a paste rack to dry mine.

So I wanted to say that if ever you are in need of a Gluten free flour I highly recommend Domata Living Flour !!

They have wonderful customer services too!! It is one of the best choices I have made I wasn't sure if I could use their flour for what I needed so I emailed them & asked. They was more than happy to help me & they answered all my questions, & set my mind at ease. So today I got to make many treats I feared my family would be living with out!

What you'll need:

sugar
milk or milk substitute
cinnamon
cornstarch
vanilla

1 cup sugar
1/8 cup cornstarch
a dash of cinnamon (to taste)
Mix these together dry
add 2 cup cold milk/silk (or water) to a pot
mix in the other ingredients (I use a beater to whisk all ingredients together)
I then cooked it at med to high heat until it gets as thick as I want it, stir or whisk constantly,(it's a little thinner than instant pudding when warm about the same if you serve it cool/cold)
Once I removed it from the heat I added a tsp of vanilla give it a last beating with your whisk & YUMMY it's ready to eat after it cools a bit

You can add cooked rice & raisins for a rice & raisin custard

Update on the autistic child that was voted out of class

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - The autistic boy voted out of class is now inspiring a statewide investigation.

The Attorney General's Office is looking into how children with learning disabilities are treated in the classroom.

The investigation started after 5-year old Alex Barton was voted out by his classmates at Morningside Elementary in Port St. Lucie.

Barton's mother, Melissa, wants his Kindergarten teacher to be fired and hopes to raise awareness about Autism. She hopes other parents will come forward with complaints.

"By asking other parents to come forward, that brings so much more to it," says Melissa Barton. "That really shows you how many people are out there that have children with Autism that are suffering and going through the same type of humiliation.
"

Gluten Free *Flourless* Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar (or white if that’s all you have)
2 eggs

Preheat 350. Combine all ingredients.
Drop spoonful on cookie sheet about 2″ apart.
Bake for about 8-10 minutes. Let cool

I made these today after searching for an easy to make GFCF treat for the kids & they loved them!!

It was super easy & super YUMMY!!

I made a wee little change.

I added 1/3 cup of cornstarch to this recipe, I mixed it in with my sugar (I used white sugar the second time) then I added the peanut butter & eggs and did as the recipe called for, Oh I also turn down my oven 325 a bit as the cookies was getting to dark to fast & still to soft in the middle It took them a wee bit longer to bake but they wasn't as dark on the bottom, and they cooked through a bit better.

Going through the emotion's, I miss my sister!!

On May 1, 2008 I lost my sister, Robin. I had just met her almost 3 yrs before that. I felt very close to her even though we did not grow up together we hit it off pretty good, we’d talk often on the phone She was very caring, funny, and she reminded me a whole lot of myself. We seen many things at face value & freely spoke our minds. I really loved that about her.

I was so numb at first when I heard she was no longer with us, now I guess I’m feeling very mad at the fact I do not have my sister here with me, I can no longer call her up or expect to hear the phone ring & it be her on the other end. I feel robbed I wasn’t able to have a relationship with her as a child do to family stuff & that really sucks BIG time. There are days that I would give anything to call her up & chat just to hear her voice.

Another thing too she loved me for me, and that was that, that in itself is awesome! Most folks in my family tend to avoid me do to whom my father is & who my mother is & how I came about. Not her as she & I share the same father, she took it all in & embraced me. When I was to met with her & my brothers for the first time I was so scared to be rejected as I had been a lot in my time, that wasn’t the case at all. It just seems so unreal & unfair to have only gotten to know her for such a short time. I guess what pisses me off most is all the wasted time. I really wish I was permitted to get to know my family on both sides!!!

I am very grateful to have gotten the time I did with her but in the same breathe can not help but to wish for a little more just one more day!

I guess it still feels like a bad dream losing her I just wish that was it a bad dream I wish I could awake from.

My Oral Surgery went well

This is just a fast update, as I do feel pretty rough & sore still.. I had 4 teeth removed they was in real bad shape Super SOFT & impacted a bit, so what was to be a 1.5 hr thing became a 3 hr thing I'm very puffy a little bruised & just over all a bit Yucky feeling. I hope to be feeling better soon... as soon as I feel good I get to set up a time to have some teeth filled.

I will say this that my Dr. that did the surgery was great. He and his staff was really nice & caring. My sugar dropped big time after everything was done so he was nice enough to give me some sugar under my tongue. I was only able to eat a yogurt before hand & that was 5 hrs before the operation so it took longer than I had planed plus he was for-warned that my sugar may bottom out & it did. It was funny I was so numb he had to lift my tongue to put the sugary stuff under it.

Well I'm off to rest seeing how I can talk much so I stare at the boob tube (TV) & sleep a bit. So Much for hoping to feel 100% shortly after LOL Oh well a feller can dream.

It has been a busy week, Plus I haven't felt real well. I have dental surgery coming up on July 2nd at 1:30 So this past week we have done some remodeling to the house all the while I can feel my heart beat in my head & jaw OUCH antibiotics don't seem to help nor does pain meds, so I'll be happy to get to the dentist soon. I also got my bread machine & pasta machine so I been living in the kitchen

I also been looking for good GFCF flour for pasta making I finally found some I'm going to order and give it a shot I'll post about that more in depth once I get the flour & make the pasta I'll post some pictures of the process heck I might even do a video who knows. But the place I'm ordering from seems to be very great with answering question's Most places I asked about flour to be able to make pasta with almost laughed in my face (That isn't advised with how I feel & my temperament in general LOL) but this place answered my questions I sent via email very fast & in great detail so that is a 2 thumbs up right off the bat.

So after my surgery and me getting my flour ordered I hope to blog soon, who knows I might feel 100% after the operation I have bounced back fast before after having 2 upper wisdom teeth removed this time it is the bottom ones & a couple molars so who knows I never have had any removed on my lower teeth so it might knock me in the dirt. LOL

Well I'm off for a few days... I haven't had much to blog about & even if I did I haven't really felt like bogging much with all that is going on with the house & new diet & my head & tooth ache... well that is kicking my butt. So TTFN

This is a petty vent but well worth the read

Well I use a trash service to pick up our house hold waste... They bill every 2 mo. They are a very big company. We moved in this house about 4 yrs ago & transferred our service.. Well the first 6 mo the bill came to us like it should. They pick up here Wed. & Sat each week, we don't produce that much trash so many times our can was not taken out to the road (Because it was empty!)

OK So each time our can is not out at the road I would get an automated call informing me my trash was not set out. (This was very nerve racking) Also at the time of those calls My bill stopped coming in the mail.

So I would have to call & find out what I owed as it never seemed to stay the same for long. Plus I let them know I wanted the automated calls to stop I know my trash wasn't not taken out because there was no trash to take out. The lady says well you will still get bill the total amount I said yeah I know but If thee can is empty it's empty. She keep going on we don't pro-rate OK LADY WHAT EVER just send me my freaking bill on time so I can pay it on time

AND STOP CALLING ME the calls continue and the bill never comes so for 2 yrs I keep calling to find what I owe & inform them I'm not receiving my bills in the mail. They say they have the problem licked! OK

So after about 6 or 7 mo. I have lost count of me not getting my bill & for that reason I haven't payed it for that long They finally pick up my trash can. LOL

Oh yeah and after I kept setting an empty can out to be emptied they stopped calling too.

So Now do I bitch about not getting a bill for 7 mo after doing so for 2.5 yrs or do I find new service?

And yes I will pay by bill in full with them I was just wondering how long they would pick up my trash with out me paying the bill they never sent! LMAO

Autistic boy smothered at school

'I don't understand how this happened,' father says of youngster's death

Gabriel Poirier seemed like any other 9-year-old boy. He watched cartoons, collected comic books and sang along to his favourite songs.

But Gabriel was autistic. He had problems communicating and interacting with people and would get frustrated.

His parents knew he could be difficult to handle and easily agitated. But nothing could prepare them for the tragic circumstances that led to their son's death two months ago.

A coroner's report made public yesterday pieces together the last moments of the boy's life.

In the early afternoon of April 17, Gabriel began to disturb his classmates at École Marie Rivier in St. Jean sur Richelieu with loud noises. The school specializes in teaching children with developmental difficulties.

His teachers gave him two warnings to calm down. When Gabriel continued to misbehave, one teacher took him to the corner of the classroom and rolled him in a weighted blanket, which is sometimes used to calm autistic children.

The heavy blanket was tightly wrapped around the 3-foot, 11-inch Gabriel at least four times, pinning his arms to his sides, the coroner's report said. With only the tips of his toes peeking out, the boy was left on his stomach, his head completely covered, for more than 20 minutes.

Gabriel eventually stopped making noise. The teacher went to check on him, turning him on his back. The boy appeared "listless and blue in the face," the coroner's report said.

The teacher called 911 and the school nurse tried to resuscitate Gabriel. He was already in a deep coma, however, and died the next day at Montreal's Ste. Justine Hospital.

The coroner's report cited suffocation as the probable cause of death.

"He was a very gentle boy," Gilles Poirier, Gabriel's father, said at a news conference yesterday in Montreal.

"He was only 53 pounds. He was so small," Poirier said of his son. "How can they wrap him up like that in a 40-pound blanket? How can this treatment be tolerated?"

His wife, Isabelle Lépine, tried to comfort him as he cried.

"Sometimes he was loud, but he was never aggressive or violent. I just don't understand how this happened," Poirier said, tears streaming down his face.

When used under the guidance of an occupational therapist, weighted blankets can be calming for autistic children, said Kathleen Provost, executive director of the Autism Society of Canada.

"They have a therapeutic use and can be relaxing," she said.

Many autistic children respond positively to sensory stimulation like touch, massage and weighted blankets.

Occupational therapists have found sensory stimulation is soothing to autistic kids and sometimes produces better results than medication.

Although teachers at Marie Rivier had received training and guidelines from occupational therapists about how to use weighted blankets, the rules were not followed the day Gabriel died, the coroner's report said.

Occupational therapists recommend blankets not be used as a form of punishment. They are not to cover a child's head and ought to be loose enough to be easily removed by the youngster.

In addition, the weight of the blanket should be in proportion to the weight of the child, and he or she should be monitored at all times.

The government needs to protect vulnerable children like Gabriel, said Jean-Pierre Ménard, the lawyer for the boy's parents.

"We're asking (Education) Minister (Michelle) Courchesne to implement a legal framework to regulate how these children are handled."

Gabriel's parents plan to sue the Commission scolaire des Hautes Rivières for compensation in the hope of preventing another tragedy, Ménard added.

I'm so excited We are going on the Gluten free Casein free diet. I have been slowly moving everyone in that direction My youngest can not have any dairy either, So I made the leap and bought some things to help me out & the kids out in this change.

With my girls they both have SID a sensory disorder So most folks going on this diet can just avoid breads & things and go with fresh meats fruits & veggies & do great, How ever I have a family that loves pastas, breads, & pot pies things of that nature. I ordered a bread machine & pasta maker & special flour's it should be here in a few days!

I have always loved to cook but cooking GF/CF is going to be a new learning curve for me. I'm already used to reading food labels & learning all the mumbo jumbo that goes along with that due to food allergies in the family already.

Here is the list of stuff I bought I hope after awhile & learning the ropes of GF/CF cooking, I'll be able to incorporate that into the cook book I'm writing for children with sensory disorders. The book is going to be a blast as it has all my family recipes handed down from generation to generation and tips & tricks to get picky eaters to eat & when the pickyness is cause from a sensory disorder it makes it all the harder to conquer.

The cost of going GF/CF has been a hard one so I have been reading & searching for the best products v/s cost and this bit of stuff was 146. and some change I'm just wondering how long the flour will last. I hope I don't jinks myself by saying that!
But We put a wall back up that the old home owners took down they had tried to make the living room bigger but that just was not working for us at all it was very long & narrow & half of the room was not usable at all.... So we turned it back into a bedroom as it was originally intended to be.

It has taken a bit longer to do than we had planned due to heat & humid weather for a few days it was 100% humidity it is hard to get anything to turn out in that rather it be making candy or drywall. But this weekend it should be painted and finished WOOHOO!!

I had to order a twin window fan as we have no central heat or cooling so we did leave 10 inches at the top of the wall open so heat & cool air can flow to the back rooms (Another 4,000.00 dollars from now we should have central heating & cooling in)

We also got the pool pump/filter fixed & refilled so that is ready to go this weekend.

My oldest will be going boating out on the Potomac Sat. morning I hope the weather stays clear if not O'Boy it will be a living nightmare. She is very much so looking forward to this, then that evening we have a birthday party and cook out to go to.

These next two to four weeks will be busy one
The 25th well that is my 7 yr wedding anniversary No events after that until the 2nd of July I have dental surgery that day I'm so dreading it!!! I'll have a 2.5 hr trip one way to get the work done. I'd rather be put in a group of people & be beat then have major work done on my teeth. I just hope I feel 1/2 & 1/2 by the 4th we always go on Base on the 4th & have a blast I just hope I feel up to it & I don't look like I got into a bar fight.

Well that sums up the next few of weeks. I just hope I have smooth sailing!!!

Just a short list, I cannot let the kids into the living room or my youngest ones bedroom for a few more days,due to a remodel... Then if you back wash the pool you have got to make sure it isn't leaking that takes a few minutes to do as you have to drain the hose & double heck even triple check it.... Well needless to say no-one checked it I go out to check the pool the water is lower than the pump can pick-up & Now I get to see if my $800 or more pump is burnt up.... If it is I'll most likely sell the Freaking pool for scrap metal!!!!! OK so any how here is that video I'm going to shut up cause I feel that blue streak hitting! This is only the tip of the ice burg I'm sure....

OK so in a nutshell here is my test on this I find these test kinda fun... I took it at http://web.tickle.com/

"ESP" is short for extra-sensory perception. As the name implies, it suggests that you are able to gain knowledge of things and events outside of yourself, and without using your five "normal" senses: taste, touch, sight, hearing, or smell. Having ESP is also known as possessing psychic abilities. As a reminder, you scored as being most psychic in the area of Precognition.

How your ESP is determined

There are two ways that your ESP can be determined; Tickle's ESP Test uses them both. The first way Tickle tests psychic ability is by objective analysis. It's called "objective" because objective questions have a right answer to them. For instance, the question, "One of Tickle's employees has a dog. What is its name?" is an objective question. There is only one right answer to it.

On an ESP test, one potential downside of objective questions is that they can sometimes be biased. You might be drawn to give one answer over another based on your own personal experiences or by taking an educated guess. However, even with this bias, an objective score still acts as a good measure of how psychic you're likely to be. If you had no psychic ability at all, you'd theoretically have answered about 6 of the 27 objective questions right. Instead, Tickle found that you answered 9 of them right. Over time, you'll be able to discern imaginings of what you want to happen in the future from truly psychic thoughts. Pay attention to your dreams as well. Because they're not affected by conscious thoughts, they can be a rich source for the most pure psychic information about the future.

Precognition

Precognition is the ability to know things ahead of time. Nostradamus is one famous example of a person with precognitive powers. However, there are many psychics who claim they can tell the future. The more precognitive power you have, the greater your chances will be of knowing about events before they happen. Precognition can come in many forms. One of the most common and reliable of these is through dreams. Dreams can sometimes provide very credible information about future events; however, this form of precognition can often be hardest to believe and interpret. Perhaps this is because your dreams don't seem as real or tangible as knowledge that comes to you while you're awake. That's not to suggest that all dreams are predictions of the future — far from it. Most dreams have nothing to do with precognition. For example, an old woman named Judy awoke one morning with a strong feeling that her long-lost son would show up that afternoon. They reminded her that he had up and left years ago and told her she was crazy to think he was coming. Even with their doubt and ridicule, Judy was so sure of her precognition that she turned down other afternoon plans so that she could sit home and wait. That afternoon a car pulled into her driveway. It was her son whom she had not seen in 12 years. Even Judy was amazed that her intuition had been correct. She was thrilled to tell her son that she had been waiting for him.

For instance, one morning a second grade teacher named John woke up after having the strangest dream. There were lots of different parts to it. It seemed that in his mind he had traveled to the jungles and the tops of mountains all in one night. But the part of the dream that really stuck with him was the end. In his dream, he walked into his kitchen to get some coffee and found Betty Crocker there — the woman from the famous baking goods company — surrounded by pies and cakes. John awoke having no idea what this dream meant and went off to work. That afternoon in school, he was leading a discussion about what his class could do to raise money for an upcoming fieldtrip. One of his students suggested having a bake sale. There was great support for the idea from all the other students and the bake sale was decided on. John had to laugh to himself when he was surrounded by cookies and baked goods at their fundraiser the following week.

Telepathy

Mental telepathy is the ability to know what another person is thinking or visualizing without being told anything about their inner thoughts. Statistically speaking, telepathy is a relatively more common way to exercise your sixth sense. Perhaps that's because it can be easier to get information by reading another person than by trying to obtain information from things like one does with clairvoyance. In some cases, the connections between people seem to somehow support telepathy.

Perhaps you've experienced telepathy in your own life by knowing who is on the line as soon as the phone rings, even if there's no special reason to expect that person to call. You might also have had telepathic experiences where you thought about someone you hadn't talked to in ages, only to have them contact you later that same day. Take this story of a woman who lost the stone in her wedding ring.

One afternoon during lunch, a woman looked down at her hand only to realize that one of the three diamonds in her wedding ring was gone. She was extremely upset because had no idea when or where she'd lost the stone. She was certain it was gone forever. After breaking the news to her husband, the two began to look all through their house for it, not having any idea where the stone might be. Then suddenly, the husband had a vision that his wife's diamond was on the ground underneath the movie-theater seat she had occupied the night before. He didn't tell her about this vision at first, in case he was mistaken. Instead he told his wife he was going to the store and returned to the theater to look for the diamond. Sure enough, when he reached the spot where they had been sitting, the stone was there, just like he had pictured it. He brought the diamond back to his wife to her great delight and told her about the mental picture that led him to it.

For example, one woman with strong retrocognition skills reported that she was standing by the side of the road one day and flashed upon of a scene of a car accident. This vision had a disturbing effect on her. In fact, it was so compelling and realistic that she set out to determine if a crash had actually taken place there. Upon investigation, she found that indeed, a terrible accident had occurred just days before, exactly as she had envisioned it. However, not everyone with retrocognition experiences these spontaneous flashbacks. Certain individuals with this skill use meditation or purposeful visualization to look back into the past.

When you believe you're on to something, try to get feedback and validation by asking others what they know about a location's past. You may be surprised to find that you've picked up on a piece of history. Yet at other times, even if your hunches are correct, you may have trouble finding others to confirm them. This is especially true if the events you are sensing happened a very long time ago.

Remote viewing

Remote viewing is the ability, while staying in one place, to "go" somewhere else with the power of your mind and visually see what is there. Space is not a limiting factor for individuals who have strong remote viewing capabilities. Interestingly, there has been substantial experimentation using remote viewers to examine whether or not this type of ESP truly exists and can be relied upon. One example is the government-funded "Stargate" project that had psychics attempt to remotely view foreign targets for intelligence purposes. The viewers' results were good enough that this program received government support for many years. Today it's even the subject of a number of books. However, that doesn't mean that remote viewing has been determined to be foolproof. Although indisputable evidence exists regarding the legitimacy of remote viewing, it's still difficult to rely on this kind of information. Nearly everyone makes mistakes at times, even excellent remote viewers.

The tester determines the latitude and longitude of a particular place or building, and then the person being tested takes that information and goes to that place in their mind. Once they feel like they have an image of the location, they describe or write down whatever they're picturing. It's most effective to do this kind of experiment using three people, so there is an impartial middle person between the tester and the person being tested. That way the tester can't influence the remote viewer with their thoughts. By using the third person, it's easier to make certain that the ESP ability being displayed is truly remote viewing and not mental telepathy.

I went to bed really late, and slept in this morning. I was up before the kids, they got up around 9:30 to 10 am. I put on my coffee and kick back & read some blogs... Sleepy as can be!
Ever have one of those days that you awake feeling as sleepy as, when you retired for the night? I have had one of those days. Finally the coffee gets kicking in I'm up and about... My oldest wanted some eggs for breakfast closer to lunch so well we had brunch.

I fixed some scrambled eggs, brown rice, reheated some 15 bean soup & made some gumbo with mixed veggies & some soft corn tortillas. YUMMY!! I ate 1 helping and now I'm back to square one. Sleepy. LOL

How did I eat all this well.
I put my corn tortillas on my plate topped it with some rice, then eggs, then the beans & finally the gumbo veggie mix! I think I would have been better off eating a bowl of cold cereal. LOL

I bet I regret eating this later!! But boy it was good.

Now I'm off to force myself to get some work done around here.

Maybe that or take a nap!

Last Day of School...

Well today was the final day of school my daughter will be in the 5th grade next year (WOW!!! It feels like yesterday I was sending her of to K)

She is going to be missing her friend really bad!! She says I'll be happy school is out for a couple weeks then I'll want to be heading back.

She made Honor Roll all year The final Comment on her report card was

"HONOR ROLL FOR 9 WEEKS AND FOR THE YEAR!
I have really enjoyed working with (your daughter) this year.
Hard working but fun is a rare combination that makes her very easy to get along with.
Best wished for a fantastic summer and continued success in the 5th grade.

She also got an award in Robotics for Out standing Participation (along with a few trophies) And she got an award for Scholastic Achievement on the Honor Roll for the 2007-2008 school year!

I also wanted to say she absolutely loved her teacher this yr as did I!! He was awesome with her & I felt 100% relieved that he was trained in the use of epi pens & first aid. That made my life this year much easier & a bit more worry free. So here is a 2 thumbs up to Mr.F & a Thank you for a wonderful year!!!

That was her exact words to my mom I busted a gut LOL Cause well see...

I thought I pulled a fast one on them (both my girls ages 4 & 10) I stayed up all night a few weeks back & took out 5 bags of toys & organized their rooms, I hid the toys in trash bags in our computer / work room that is off limits to the girls & put the stuff on freecycle, She seen people take black trash bags away.

about 3 weeks later upon noticing her toys was a few less than before she put two & two together. LOL

My 1st Daughter was non the wiser until my 2nd Daughter filled her in on it so now I have to kids a little ticked at me & not wanting me to clean.

(They have to many toys & to many clothes they have out grown) I have tried that we need to get rid of the old to make room for the new but neither was have'n it! LOL

I'm learning fast it is hard to try and pull the wool over my youngest eyes.

Man last night we was under a tornado warning so I stayed up until 1 am. after that point I could not hold my eyes open. I went to bed & had the hardest time going to sleep even though all seemed quit for the time being. Around 2:30 The power went off & back on many times as I lay there thinking Dang I hate to get up but I better check to see what is going on The loudest longest burst of thunder rumbles it was so long I was like either that is some wicked thunder or a train, I jump up & grab the weather radio we again was placed under tornado warnings until 10 am I forced myself to stay awake until around 4:30 then after on last look at the radar & it looking a bit more calm I fell back into bed.

I got up at 6:55 am to get everyone up for school & work. I was to sleepy to even put on a pot of coffee! My eyes felt like they were on fire or had been poked a good one. I think today is going to be a very, very long day.

Oh yeah my 4 yr old slept like a champ & is bouncing off the walls today! LOL
